Saint Maud - DVD

After being pushed by professional tragedy to religious conversion, British nurse Maud (Morfydd Clark) was assigned to give palliative care to terminally ill American choreographer Amanda (Jennifer Ehle). Taking her charge's atheism and lesbianism as cues that she should try and save her soul, the emotionally delicate caregiver meets devastating rejection-and delivers a stunning response. Writer-director Rose Glass's loaded psychodrama co-stars Lily Frazer, Lily Knight. 84 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

With her husband in the trenches of World War I, young Pearl (Mia Goth) had no options but to look after her parents' Texas farm and her infirm father (Matthew Sunderland) under the eye of her domineering mother (Tandi Wright). To fall back on, she had fantasies provided by the local movie house and dreams of personal showbiz glory-and her efforts to obtain them will lead to a horrific psychotic break. Ti West's stylish and shocking InchXInch prequel co-stars David Corenswet, Emma Jenkins-Purro. 102 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Reeling after an unspeakable family tragedy, Dani (Florence Pugh) wanted to salvage her fraying relationship with her grad student boyfriend Christian (Jack Reynor). She opted to tag along with his classmates on a field trip to Sweden, where they'd observe the midsummer rituals at a throwback commune... but they'd only comprehend the cult's true nature until it was far too late. Disturbing chiller from Ari Aster (InchHereditaryInch) co-stars William Jackson Harper, Will Poulter, Vilhelm Blomgren, Ellora Torchia.
