It’s about time we have a GTA like game on the switch with the new re release on saints row on Nintendo switch. Nice port to have

For this I give 4 stars because the controls were a little weird. The aiming just doesn’t feel the same as it did on 360, plus for both the joycons and pro controller it seems to have some really bad dead zones. Could be just me but I’ve seen other reviewers with the same problems. Also, I have had some framerate issues here and there but not awful. Now this is the game with just the Day 1 update installed, I believe. So maybe overtime they’ll fix the aiming and controller issues. Now on the positive side this is a fun game. If you’re itching for that open world GTA like experience on your Switch, then this’ll check all of those boxes. Also, I should warn that this is just the GOTY edition from 360 now on Switch with nothing special added. So if you’ve played it on other consoles you’ve basically seen it all. But, you now can play it on the go. Overall I would say get it on a sale if you don’t feel like paying $40 for a game you bought back in the day. Plus, maybe giving the developers more time to fix the controls. If you do decide to buy it, I would totally recommend a pro controller, for me it was a lot more enjoyable than the joy cons.

Having discovered the Saints Row franchise through this title, it holds a nostalgic place in the series for me, and to replay the game portably on the Nintendo Switch is a dream come true. Undocked the game runs as good as the original release on PS3 with occasional polygon clipping being the only thing to take me out of the experience. I recommend downloading the latest patch before starting the game. Only experienced one soft crash the first hour playing out of the 30 or so accumulated. Docked is a slightly different story due to frame drops and stuttering when a lot of action is going on. For a game of this age, I can't see a slight bump in resolution causing that much more extra load which seems to me like the developer just wasn't able to optimize for the Switch's hardware. Portable is a better experience than docked, but docked isn't a bad experience, just underwhelming due to the age of the game. I recommend getting this for the Switch if you're a fan of the series, enjoy open-world action games, or if you just want to let developers know these kinds of games *are* viable on a Nintendo platform.

I adored this game when I first played it so many years ago. When I got it on my Switch, I was hoping for a great portable port, and the best way to describe it as is "it works". Frame rate issues, texture pop-ins, awkward motion controls, and the console gets pretty worked up while running the game. It's still a great experience, but you may want to spring for the PS4 or Xbox One versions if you have those consoles. I absolutely love this game and this port is fun, but it's not the best way to experience all the Saints Row The Third has to offer.

Saints Row: The Third is on Switch. While the game has some technical issues like frame rates and resolution. Saints Row 3 is a welcome game to Switch especially as there are not a lot of sandbox style games on Switch. Most of the DLC that was released is included. They had to omit a few things because it would break the game. Genkibowl VII, Gangstas in Space, and The Trouble with Clone are a few of the DLC content included. The game does have online and multiplayer.

Very fun, over the top grand theft auto parody. Big open world, but i have experienced some frame rate issues and freezing occasionally where ive had to close the game, even after the 1 available patch. But it is an enjoyable game if you can get by the very occasional hiccup, And If you havent played it yet. Ive played it for like 24 hours si far ive had it freeze on me like 5 times. It's very violent and has sexual themes, so definitely not for kids.

I loved this game on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms so I got excited when I found a switch version of this game. The storyline is just as good and there’s lots of great extras, but the controls and camera view can get annoying at times if you’re used to the controls on other platforms

I never played the original nor am I experienced with GTA so this was a treat. Great graphics, albeit dated, and hilarious action-packed missions with unique and fun weapons and gameplay. The only thing I'd change is adding motion-controlled aiming (it's hard right now).

I like this game on the switch. Was really waiting for it to crash or drop to 2 & 1/2 frames per sec. Nothing so far. The game looks pretty good, better than MK11 IMO & runs steady so far. I would definitely recommend.

Who would have thought that Saints Row would make it’s debut on a Nintendo platform!? It’s a great addition for those who love Saints Row and it’s amazingly charming and campy universe! Love that another character creation game is on the switch library. In my opinion, it’s way better than GTA and a lot more fun! The graphics looks great on the switch and the city of Steelport never looked so good! The Saints Row series is truly something unique and so much fun! I highly recommend for those who wants a taste for it on the go.

I got this game because I loved saints row 2 so much. It’s a lot goofier than its predecessor, but is a good game in its own way. I feel like it could definitely be harder but that’s just me. I don’t think you’d really NEED to play every other game to be able to understand this, so you could just start the series from here if you can’t afford the others. I still like saints row 2 the best though.

I'm use to playing GTA on the Playstation as a female teenager when my brothers weren't hogging the game room. At 28, I own a switch and have been looking for games similar to GTA for the switch. I purchased LA NOIRE (it was ok!) but OMG this GAME is LIFE from the very beginning! I play this game after work almost every day for about 2 hours.

I’m surprised how well this game runs on switch. Love that I can play it on the go as well. Great addition to the switch line up. Recommended

Really fun! I had the chance of playing this series back on the 360, but I never did. I decided to give it a shot on the Switch, and man o' man is this game really fun. Think of it as a goofier GTA. Some reviewers are complaining about the frame drops and overall performance issue. I have to say, I've only played in handheld, and I really haven't had an issue. The graphics are great, the action is plentiful and the story is really goofy and fun. I would totally recommend this game at the current $40 price tag.

I was always looking for a game like GTA but on a system that I could enjoy on the go. I couldn’t find anything until Saints Row came out. This is also the best game in its series so that’s why I purchased it and I am very happy I did. If you have also been looking for something that will entertain you for hours like GTA missions you don’t have to look any further. This is the game for you.

The graphics have been updated via patch if anyone is interested in this and it has made marginal improvements to this port. This is for anyone looking for something similar to GTA on the switch. For now, this will have to do and it is definitely a fun substitute for the time being.

It’s the Saints invading the Switch with its over the top antics in a sandbox world. While it does have some performance hiccups while in docked, the portability side of this is consistent. I’m sure patch’s would resolve issues while in docked mode. Overall it’s a great port with all the dlc included. Worth getting for that gta fix.

This game is similar to the popular GTA series you have a whole city to explore and have a lot of freedom of what you can do. Rampage the streets or take on rival gangs. It doesn't ever get old for me. The game has some slowdown but mostly runs smooth.

This game is over the top absurd GTA style fun on the switch. The graphics are really outdated but the core gameplay is still there. They've patched the game a few times since the negative launch reviews. I've had no issues.
