Q: so the rear speakers need to connect with wire to go wireless or they already wireless
A: The rear speakers are connected with wire to a transmitter box which needs to be plugged into an outlet for power. The transmitter box is only connected to the rear speakers and power outlet. These things are separate from the sound bar and separate from the subwoofer.
Q: Is this sound bar compatible with a 2021 65" 4k LG smart TV?
A: I connected it to my LG 70" TV. The only thing I have found to be annoying is that every time I turn on my TV I have to go through the connection process. This may be because of my ignorance, and I wanted to connect via Bluetooth not the optical cable
A: Hi Samsungsteve! The HW-A470 Soundbar is Bluetooth enabled, and can wirelessly connect to your TV and any other devices that are also Bluetooth enabled. The subwoofer will need to be connected to a power source but will pair wirelessly with the soundbar. The rear speaker wireless module requires a power cord to function and speaker cables to connect to the rear speakers. Once they are connected to the speaker cables, the rear speakers will pair wirelessly with the soundbar as well. ^Patty

Q: will this connect to any make of tv big screen?
A: Hi michael! The HW-A470 Soundbar is not brand restricted and features an Optical port as well as Bluetooth connectivity; if your TV supports Bluetooth connectivity or includes an Optical port, you can connect this soundbar to your TV via either of these connections. ^Tim
Q: Can the volume be controlled with a Directv remote?
A: Hi William, As long as your soundbar is connected to your TV via HDMI ARC, you will be able to control the volume and power of your soundbar using your TVs remote. If the feature is not working, or you are not connected via HDMI, you can adjust the remote settings of the soundbar. This function can be used with IR remote controls only. Bluetooth remote controls (remote controls that require pairing) are not supported. Set the TV speaker to External Speaker to use this function. 1) Turn Off the Soundbar. 2) Push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “Samsung-TV Remote” (Default mode), “Off-TV Remote”, “All-TV Remote”. The LED indicator status changes each time the mode is changed. You will need to select All-TV Remote option.
