Months of research went into deciding if this was the right television for our home. One of the biggest deciding factors was the use of the anti-glare coating on the screen as well as picture quality, brightness, and visual presence. For all the reviews read, and all of the pros and cons weighed, we decided the QN90A was the right choice. After waiting a few days for delivery of our device, and some light construction to ready our wall, The QN90A was easily installed and all of the connections made to the supporting devices. Turning it on for the first time was a family event. And the WOW factor couldn't be overstated. However, after four days of viewing this monster, we began to notice the problems. Stuttering, dropped frames, doubling effects in motion scenes, pan stutter to the point of getting headaches, and some DSE that was noticeable. I tried every recommended adjustment I could think of to correct the issues with little to no effect. By the end of day 4 I was ready to call Best Buy and have them come get this danged thing. So what changed you may ask. DSE; ( dirty screen effect ) was expected. Remember the picture is being shot across 6 Feet of LCD to get where it's going. In this particular unit, it is noticeable if you're looking for it but not problematic. Gaming: The QN90A support for next gen consoles is quite outstanding actually. I had to dial back a few settings to keep from burning out my eyeballs. A+ Movies and TV: Here's where things get weird. Premium streaming apps look fantastic! switch over to cable, and utter garbage. Jumpy picture, doubling up of frames, stuttering pan shots in movies. On demand movies become unwatchable to the point of physical headaches and eye strain. So can I give a 5 star review? Research! Research! Research! Here's what I learned. It's Not the TV that's the problem. The technology in these large format 4K displays is ahead of the technology of the content that's plugged into it. Specifically If your cable provider is telling you that you are getting a 4K service, I can affirm that you are not. In fact, your cable provider is downgrading the format to increase bandwidth and then upscaling it at the STB to convince the television (or the user) that you have 4K cable service. This means that your brand new 4000 dollar television is trying to sample and upscale an image that has already been upscaled previously from an inferior image.. Sounds confusing but, dial back your output on your cable box and readjust your settings. If you're not happy there, Specific to the Q90A, Run the cable signal in Game Mode to take advantage of the VRR setting as well as the input lag setting. The difference in watching the same scene in a movie...... over and over for hours, trying to diagnose this was AMAZING! From unwatchable to smooth as warm butter. Don't get frustrated it's fixable. Coupled with my Q800T soundbar with rear speaker kit this thing is Amazballs! Quality: I like the design. It handled well during installation. Value: At the higher end of the spectrum for similar items, I'm hoping the long term return is worth the price. Ease of use: The remote is dainty and easy to use. The menu is intuitive and simple. The setup and adjustments for picture quality and input variances may scare some users or lead to a high store return rate.

I bought this TV last fall so now I have had some time to accurately review it. I was trying to decide between LG QNED and Samsung. I went with Samsung because I am a gamer so it had slightly better input lag. Also I live in Arizona so I have a lot of natural light which is why I ruled out OLED TVs. Seeing that this is the brightest TV pretty much on the market this was the obvious choice. I was sad that Samsung doesn’t have Dolby vision but it is what it is. Let me just say this… I have been to many stores and seen many TVs and their pictures. You won’t find anything like this. When you play an Xbox series X game in 4K hard wired into fiber optic internet, your experience is… well I don’t know if the English language has words for it. It’s truly amazing. The TV has an amazing remote and it syncs with the Xbox. I can control the TV with the remote or my Xbox controller. TV start up is almost instant. A little lag when it boots up for about 5 to 10 seconds, then it’s fine. The side viewing is also amazing. I can sit at my kitchen bar seating and watch my TV at almost a full 90 degree angle and still see the picture pretty good. And the built in speakers are also amazing. I have a $150.00 sound bar from my last TV but the TVs speakers are honestly indistinguishable so I just packed it back up. Unless I really wanted an immersive surround sound spending around $500 or more I don’t think there would be much improvement. TV also has Alexa built in. It’s fun to use with the kids, but pretty much pointless over a remote lol. Cons: One annoying thing is if you want to turn off the Xbox and just watch TV it’s hard to turn off the Xbox without it turning off your TV too. -Only 1 HDMI 2.1 port. Not a big deal for me. All I have is my Xbox. Can be a problem if you have lots of systems. -If sitting at an angle where you can see a window with light coming through blinds it can leave rainbow halos that are pretty annoying. Not noticeable when watching brighter lighting background as this TVs brightness is INSANE. Only noticeable when watching darker movies/games. If I am giving any advice about buying TVs right now look for this: hdmi 2.1 ports. And go big 80” minimum. These TVs now a days just simply last forever. If you get a TV plan on giving it away when you are done with it because they just last forever. Unless you get an OLED, those burn out. So… do you really want to look at this thing for the next 10-30 years wishing you had gotten the larger size? Also Hdmi ports are the future. If you don’t have 2.1 it doesn’t matter in 5 years plugging in your new gaming/streaming device. If it’s not hdmi 2.1, it won’t be 4K and if it is 4K it won’t be 120hz refresh. Without hdmi 2.1 you can have a powerhouse TV but no hookups making it no better than a TVs technology from 5-10 years ago. I got this TV on a $1000 off sale. I think my total was $1700? That’s the most I would pay for it. I’ve always been an LG guy, if the price was more than $1700 and I didn’t live in Arizona, I’d go with LG QNED over this.

Great contrast, deep blacks, vibrant color. As bright as anyone could ever need. Motion handling could be improved and vertical lines occasionally appear in panning shots during sports. Local dimming bug pops up from time to time on subpar content.

I decided to take a chance on this one (85”) and I’m glad I did, I read the one star reviews to get an idea of the worst case scenarios some people dealt with but overall the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I got it set up and it works without any defect. It’s incredibly bright, there is no blooming, blacks are black, the colors are super vivid, I like the microphone in the remote, the UI is easy to use, and it doesn’t give off a lot of heat like my last tv did. Games and movies on this tv are mind blowing!

The Samsung Qn90a has an absolutely stunning picture and a solid game mode but some drawbacks that prevent it from being a 5. The black levels are similar to an OLED. However, this has the added brightness needed to be seen in a room with alot of ambient light. The 85 inch is a sight to behold. The biggest problem is the inclusion of only 2 hdmi 2.1 ports, one of which is used for EARC. So if you have more than 1 nextgen console and a soundbar then you will need to decide how to allocate the 2.1 ports. Samsung also does still not support Dolby Vision. But this is still a great product if you can get it on sale. If not, then I suggest you get the current flagship from Samsung

I had the 82 inch 2019 model that I replace this TV with this TV makes that TV look like it's on a whole nother level and they're both supposed to be the top of the line but this is actually top of the line the blacks on this TV are amazing the experience that I get with this TV is an experience that I've never had before with a Samsung TV and I've been buying Samsung TVs since before the Kerr TV came out and I can't remember when the curved TV came out always buying the largest screen possible this by far is the best screen that I've ever seen from Samsung outside of the plasma which I still believe plasma does give the best picture. I normally get my TV calibrated but with the new filmmakers mode I put that on and it immediately changes the picture to one that which being calibrated would give you taking the whites down giving you better blacks giving you a picture that's a little easier on the eyes because this TV can be overbearing with whites other than that if you're looking to get this TV don't think about it buy it you won't be disappointed

I cant begin to explain how good this TV is. The quality of pics both for Cable and of course Streaming, the deep blacks and the best part - the brightness that simple an OLED cannot match. This goes head on to compete with the Sony A90J and is half the price. The quality and value you get from this TV is simply superb. If you are in the market for an OLED - you just have the 83" LG C1 or Sony A90J. The Samsung 85" QN90A beats both the above. I am simply amazed at the depth of blacks, quality of pic of this TV. I have pics below of the TV in broad daylight, a room full of sun, you can see the anti reflection in play and brightness. Imagine in the night, in a dark room, how good this will look?. I am a photographer and know colors, and this just beats every TV for the price. Seriously!

Giving 5 stars for the size and decent quality for the price. I had a 65 inch oled in living room prior to this tv so obviosly the oled was much smoother better quality picture 2 times the price too but this 85 inch samsung is actually pretty good for the price and size no complaints. Plus I put the oled in my home gym so win win for me. Only issue i have is the remote is solar recharge however can plug it in to recharge. I really don't think the solar panel on these remotes even work to be honest and the charge last maybe a month couple weeks. I bought a new remote on Amazon which is same but takes batteries for only 20 bucks. Idk im old school rather have batteries they last months.

I love this tv so much. It is an absolute must have. The sound quality is amazing. The tv is 4k and HD! Which is amazing. I recommend getting it. Sometimes it feels like the movie will come to life kinda like 3D. But 10/10 tv. And it has so many different qualities!

Great value getting this discontinued model - super bright when needed, awesome 4K picture, paired w/ Samsung HW-B650 w/added rear speaker kit to create theatre room that didn’t break the bank!

Great upgrade going with mini LEDs. It has such high nit brightness that the picture is very visible in a fully sun lit room. Impressive picture and color quality.

This tv produces a fantastic picture. I bought the 85 inch QN85A bit returned it to buy this one when it went on sale for $3K. Glad I did! The picture quality is better in contrast and brightness where it counts! I would recommend this tv! Movie theater at home!

This tv is awesome. Very comparable to my S95b oleds, not as good but close. Aside from that it has nice contrast and the blacks are black. Ive been playing PS5 on it and looks great. Also watched a few 4k movies and the dimming in the dark is good, and its nice and bright for well lit rooms. Definitely recommend for an led, and if you dont have the coin for OLEDS.

Looking for a long time to upgrade in our living room space which has tons of lateral light, including sunlight directly hitting the TV in the afternoon every day. After much research, the Samsung QN90A checked the boxes on what I was looking for with top-notch brightness, picture, quality, and resolution. After the geek squad did an excellent and professional installation, I was not disappointed with the performance of this TV. The brightness and picture quality are superb. Antiglare is great and have no problems watching any source or content at any time of day. It’s sunlight hitting this TV directly. The TV is packed with many features, in settings galore to suit your taste. I cannot comment on the audio quality, as I have a home theater surround system. I highly recommend for bright rooms!

We're in a new home, a larger home and the old 65" TV just wasn't going to cut it. We decided a larger screen TV would defiantly make viewing easier on both of us, and it would fill up that large wall space better... Since our last TV was a Samsung and we never had a problem with it thats where I started looking. I just started with the 85" TV's as theres really no reason to skimp on size. We're both still learning the remote and all of the new features in comparison to our previous TV but thus far this 85" screen is the best we've ever seen. Didn't even need to attach our Apple TV to it to stream as thats now a part of the technology. You're basically purchasing a computer with a very large monitor. Yes I'd recommend this Samsung TV to anyone wanting to upgrade from a smaller TV. BTW we also purchased a Samsung/Magnolia sound bar which absoloutly changes everything.

Beautiful picture and crazy brightness. This TV is amazing. The set I purchased didn't have any blooming problems and the blacks are excellent. Was thinking of buying an Oled instead bust settled on this bad boy. Only thing that I don't like is the one 2.1 hdmi outlet. I will highly recommend this to anyone looking to get that oled quality for a much sweeter price.

Samsung has the best quality picture in the industry. The picture is bright, super clear, and vibrant. With just a few pieces of sound equipment and the size of the screen gives you a feeling close to actually being in a theater.

Awesome pictures quality! Even from side view, picture is clear. Love the remote, no batteries replacement. Operate on normal livingroom light solar powered. The response on the connection to an app load up quick.

I need to told my story. Well first i purchase the 75 version and the tv cames with to many issues and when i installed and power on was configurated and thats was weird then a few months later tv panel cames damage from burns. I ask for the warranty and the useless geeksquad dont do anything and send me to samsung what a bad experience with them. In few weeks back and forward with them they send me a tech and declare the tv broken then samsung care refund me via paypal a few weeks later. But then i purchase this 85 version. WAOOOOO so big and so different . I find the panels are different brands and the 85 have a good one its better than 75 in all aspect And i paid less than the 75 . Im so glad about this. This tv handle all in great quality. Best tv i ever have . With ps5 its a beast.
