Replaced my HDD with this SSD and never going back. I use it as an external for Native Instruments sound files, and it has no lag like my SSD did. It’s great and no latency in Logic.

Compact. Light. Efficient. Reasonable. No regrets. Use it to back up 2 laptops. (Easily partitioned and formatted for Mac OS.) Buy it.

I'm writing about the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished T9 Portable SSD 4TB. I recently purchased two refurbished T9 SSDs from Best Buy. I bought them for BMCC 6K full-frame video recording and connected them to the camera, but neither of them were recognized. The Best Buy staff doesn't know the reason, and they only suggest that it is possible to use it if you buy a genuine product, not a refurbished one, which is not helpful at all. The Best Buy refurbished T9 SSD can only be used for backing up general computer data, so if you have other purposes, I want to let you know not to buy it, so I'm writing about my bad experience here.

the size is very small. very manageable, so much space in such a little thing. very fast too. price wise, maybe a little less would make it the best.

The Geek Squad Certified Refurbished T9 Portable SSD 4TB has worked well so far. I have tried it on a few different computers and it meets my expectations, if not quite as fast as advertised. Certainly no complaints for the size, capacity and price.

Small, compact, and extremely fast storage. Moving a 14 gig file from my computer to this SSD was less than 20 seconds. For me, especially going from old school external disk drive that I purchased probably about 15 years ago to this solid state drive, is night and day! I should’ve purchased one of these a lot sooner.

The speed are so fast to save the pictures and files we can save and plug out easy . all the family are so happy with this toll.

Excellent product. Fast and good capacity. If the 8TB model was priced lower, I'd buy it.

If you are using an external SSD solely with a Mac, do yourself a favor and reformat as APFS. When I first got this I left it as exFAT and it got pretty slow after a lot of files were copied to it. I reformatted as APFS and it has been as speedy as expected.

Excellent drive, it runs quickly, looks unassuming, seems moderately drop-proof, and was a great value. No complaints here .

So glad that a Certified Refurbished SSD of this quality was available! I tore open the packaging and started using it almost before the front door closed. It works like a charm. No problems at all, and at a fraction of the price I expected.

excellent drive. i've been editing 4k and 6k footage with no problems. seems like it works just as well as my raid drives.

The price was right, I bought refurbished, because I knew Best Buy would stand behind it. I had to go deep into Windows settings to get it recognized, but all is well.

Bought this to backup my Macbook Pro M4. Excellent and speedy.

I was a little hesitant on the quality of a refurbished hard drive, but the unit I received came in original packaging and found that it had low usage. Very happy.

I purchased this and only managed to test it out now. The ssd does not work at all as it cannot be detected by my tablet. I tried to connect to another Samsung T7 ssd using the same cable and it could work so the certified refurbished Samsung T9 that I purchased totally doesn’t work. Can Best Buy advise what could be wrong. Is it the ssd was reformatted such that laptops and tablets can no longer detect it? What can be done to resolve this since it is no longer returnable? Extremely disappointed with this.

So far, so good! Great price, longevity, only time will tell

I purchased this SSD to serve as my DVR and I could not be happier. It is a great choice and the price was very good.

Works great! Getting about 900MB/s on M1 Max. Very happy.

Really bad. I bought 4tb ssd but they sent me 2tb was so disappointed and returned asap.
