I HAVE 4 SAMSUNG T9 4TB SSD THIS DEVICE HAVE PHENOMENALLY FAST SPEED TO UPLOADING AND DOWNLOADING ,VERY LIGHT SMALL COMPACT DEVICE. THE OUTSIDE PROTECTIVE COVER A KIND OF ROBBERY DURABLE MATERIAL PERFECT FOR EVERY DAY HARD USE DEFINITELY APPROVED BY MY SON. MY SON USING ONE OF THEM TO EXTEND HIS LAPTOP STORAGE FOR VERY DEMANDING GAMES HE IS PLAYING HE IS VERY HAPPY WITH IT. I AM USING IT TO PUT OLD FAMILY PICTURES AND VIDEO'S ON IT. ALSO, MY DAUGHTER GOING TO GET MARRIED AND I HAVE THE PERFECT STORAGE DEVICE TO SAVE ALL THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF THE WEDDING. THAT IS MAKEKING ME VERY HAPPY AND EASY TO KNOW I AM GOING TO HAVE ALL THE MEMORIES FROM THE WEDDING IN ONE PLACE. MY BOYS AND I WE GO TO CAMPING AND FISHING QUITE A BIT. I HAVE A LOTS OF PICTURES AND VIDEOS FROM THE TRIPS. WHAT WE TOOK. THESE SAMSUNG'S T9 4 TERABYTE STORAGE DEVICE THIS IS PERFECT PLACE TO STORE ALL THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS I DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT. DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PLACE ON AND THE DEVICE TO STORE ALL THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS. BEFORE I HAD SOME PICTURES AND VIDEOS ON MY PHONE AND ON MY TABLET, MY SON, HAD SOME OF IT. MY DAUGHTER HAD SOME OF IT. NOW I HAVE IT, ALL OF IT, IN ONE PLACE, ORGANIZE AND SAVED IN ONE PLACE IT IS A GOOD FEELING AND PEACE OF MIND. TO KNOW I CAN PASS IT ON TO THE NEXT GENERATION A LIFETIME OF MEMORIES BECAUSE THE END OF THE DAY WHAT IT IS REALLY MATTER TO PASS IT ON MY CUMULATED LIFETIME KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM AND MEMORIES WITH MY FAMILY . I use this Samsung T9 2TB SSD primarily for photography work and as a backup drive for my Mac, and it has been outstanding. The speed alone makes this drive worth every penny—transfers are extremely fast and consistent. When I’m moving large RAW files, Lightroom catalogs, or full session folders, the T9 easily keeps up and saves me a ton of time. The advertised speeds (up to 2,000 MB/s) feel real in day-to-day use. Setup on my Mac was instant. It’s fully compatible with macOS, and formatting it to APFS for Time Machine/Backups took less than a minute. Since then, it’s been rock-solid for both manual backups and automatic system backups. No connection drops, no overheating issues, and it handles long transfers without throttling. For photography, this drive is incredibly reliable as an on-the-go storage solution. It’s compact, durable, lightweight, and feels premium. I’ve tossed it in my camera bag and traveled with it—never had a single issue. The textured design also gives it a great grip, so it doesn’t slide around like other SSDs. Great external hard drive. Sold state no moving parts. Light weight great when I have to take my laptop on the road. 4T plenty of storage!

What can i say? Top of the line storage. Its fast and portable. The program it comes with can be useful, and the drive itself can play AAA games from it through steam. Pretty good stuff!

This is my main SSD. It works super great I thought the price was very fair for what I got. Speed is excellent. Very portable and small. Doesn’t make any noise and it came with two different cords to hook to your laptop. One usb and one usbc. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Incredible value for a such an expansive portable storage solution; works great with gaming consoles and computers! No real install to worry about, just plug and play. Best console use for PS4/Xbox One and older games. Newer PS5 and XSX games cannot be run straight from drive and must be transferred back to console storage to play.

It is the best Portable SSD very useful for saving your files, I have kept approximately 50,000 files, photos and videos and I am surprised by the transfer speed.

It's hard to believe I snatched this up on black friday 2025 for $200; now I'm kicking myself for not grabbing two. It's the fastest drive I've ever personally used. Multi gb files transfer over in seconds.

Super fast and easy to set up on my new Mac Mini. Had it working at super high transfer speeds from the thunderbolt port. Works like its internal and super fast.

The most reliable drives I've come across. Especially for large video files. I will buy many more of these just wish the prices wasn't so affected by the chips used for AI.

My wife is a professional photographer and she bought this to store raw images. She loves it, the access is fast both writing to it and reading from it. It’s small size is perfect for he camera bag. She is planning on purchasing another shortly.

Great Price When on Sale. I got T9 4TB... Used It To Backup a Smartphone with 1TB storage ( twice ) before giving to Bbuy for repair... Super Fast & Very Tiny... I Was Able To Connect Drive Directly To S23 Ultra 1TB...

Had to buy this for work to back up thousands of documents. I was so impressed with the speed at which this thing can download and upload huge file sizes and in large quantities! I ended up buying the same thing in a smaller size for personal use.

Very good SSD, no lose connection, fast storage, perfect for even reading 8K raw footage, and it's light and very well protected.

There's an app for increasing protection in it, but honestly you can ignore that and just plug it in. Regarding performance, it can run games much faster than my HDD. Loading times are quicker on ever game I've installed in it so far.

Needed a larger capacity external fire for my photo library and this fit the bill. It’s fast, runs cool, feels sturdy and has a nice long cable. No complaints.

I purchased this as a way to bring my photo collection to an SSD. Even though I'm not able to take full advantage of its speed via USB 3.2, Gen 2, using USB 3.0 gives me an excellent performance increase over my internal spinny drive. Samsung's suggest price, at $460, is a little pricey, but Best Buy's current sale price of $299 makes it more affordable. If you're looking for a quality external SSD snap it up before the sale ends.

I made this purchase b/c one of my personal external drives (Seagate) again seems to have failed me. I spent x2 Seagate External drives b/c one always fails me. Upon learning Samsung produced a few options I chose that I do not need the super drop or water resistant option b/c it’s home kept. If you backpack or use it more often - taking a USB for school, work- not safe kept- then get the one that fits your style of usage. (I also think their TV’s are great 5/5 too)
