This review is for the model Sandisk High Endurance 256 GB V30 MicroSD. I tested the card and got 97 MB/s read and 59 MB/s write speeds which are great for a V30 card. My High Endurance cards have yet to fail, even though some are 5-6 years old. I buy extras and swap them out on 4 month intervals, to give the cards a rest. I use this in a Garmin GPS Dashcam and Sandisk branded cards seem friendly with Garmin hardware, I have used brands other than Sandisk and Samsung and not always had results. Evidently constant writing to the card is a taxing task. The cards hold up well.

My previous SanDisk High Endurance (128GB) lasted about two years in my dash cam recording 4K front and 1080p rear, both at a very high bit rate. It started to have hiccups which I still cannot narrow down to dash cam or card. I reflashed firmware to the camera and that seemed to fix the issue even with the old card installed, but I thought after two years it was time to retire the card out of an abundance of caution. (I always planned to replace the card every year anyway as I used to....I can always use them in my DSLR or Raspberry Pis after I retire them and it's cheap insurance for a dash cam that I need to work....but when I didn't drive for most of 2020 due to COVID I decided to get lazy with the plan.) Anyone who's read reviews of other sellers knows fakes can be an issue so I don't take chances and use Best Buy for items like this. Still, I always test the item. This is genuine, and it is fast. Benchmarks attached, this was plugged in through an Anker USB-C hub that has a built in micro SDXC reader. The card likely would be faster through a San Disk/WD reader since read and write aren't likely really that close (which suggests the hub is the limiting factor here), but this was good enough to confirm for me that it's genuine and is plenty fast enough to record two high bit-rate camera feeds. Replacement every year is probably overkill, depending on your use case. I won't get lazy with my routine again, though. Good cards are worth the price if you ever do need evidence after a crash (I've been there, believe me).

Almost double the storage that I had before. Lots of room for books and music.
