Product is easy to use and storage is super compact. For a budget level vacuum this has been a great choice. Love that this doubles as a standing vacuum and hand vac.

This versatile Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum functions as an excellent handheld and upright vacuum with plenty of power and versatility for most household jobs. Design The Shark Cordless Pet stick vacuum has a pretty common looking design at first glance. There's an easy to use power button toggle, press it once to turn the vacuum on and again to turn it off. A feature that was new to me is the way you can store this. The handheld part separates from the upright and easily attaches to the post, just above the base/floor unit. You don't need to mount anything on the wall to hang it, you can just set it in the corner of a closet, or where ever it fits, without taking much room at all. Another favorite feature of mine is something Shark has been doing for while, but the "Pet" part of the name is because, somehow, hair doesn't get tangled in the roller! I don't have pets but my vacuum would still get hair tangled around the roller. With this it doesn't. I don't understand how that works, the roller is a different design, but anyway, it just works. It's great to never mess with hair wrapped around the roller. Overall, the vacuum is compact and light weight but big enough and strong enough to replace a corded vacuum in my house. It includes a crevice tool and a "pet" multi-tool. I put pet in quotes because I don't have pets. The multi-tool can be used with or without a detachable brush. The attachments can be used with the upright post for greater reach, as needed. Upright Use This stick vacuum works great as an upright. While it's battery powered and fairly light weight, it still has plenty of power for vacuuming hard floors and carpet. There are no settings to mess with but it detects when it's on carpet and switches to a stronger mode, spinning the roller, with a light changing from blue to red to show that. You can also pull a trigger for a boost to the suction power at any time, as long as you hold the trigger. The floor unit is not too high, which is good, so it fits under low things like the door stops in our house (see attached picture). It also has a very versatile connection to the upright post so you can move it around at almost any angle and hold the vacuum very low to the ground, fitting under lots of furniture (I'll include a picture showing this too). When using it as an upright there's a whole row of LED lights to help you see where you're vacuuming. Handheld Use This upright works great as a handheld. While it's almost large for a handheld, it's not too heavy and works well for getting hard to reach places. As mentioned above, you can also use the upright post with the attachments for longer reach. Again, you have the trigger you can pull for more power at any time for as long as you pull the trigger. Even without that, this is very powerful, I think, for a handheld vacuum. Battery Life The battery life has been very good. I don't have great stats that I kept track of or anything but I've been impressed with how much I could vacuum on a charge. The battery would be very easy to swap if you wanted to buy a second to keep on hand. Keep in mind that if you use it as an upright on carpet where it's using the motor to spin the roller (on hardwood it will spin just due to the suction) the battery will go down faster. There are three lights on the side of the battery that show the power level. When it gets down to a single flashing light, you know the power is very low. Summary If you're looking for one vacuum to be used as a main, upright, vacuum for your house as well as a handheld for quick spot cleaning, I think the Shark Cordless Pet is a great choice! Depending on the size of your house, this really may be all you need. I think it's an excellent upright and handheld. I love the way you never need to mess with any settings. It cleans hard floors and carpets easily and seems to be a well made and thought out vacuum.

The Shark Pet cordless stick vacuum arrived well-protected in its packaging. It offers versatile cleaning options, including various attachments and a handheld conversion mode. As a cat owner, I was particularly keen to test the self-cleaning brushroll to prevent hair entanglement, and I’m happy to report that it performed exceptionally well, leaving the roller completely clear after use. Before my first trial, I performed a full charge. A thoughtful design feature is the ability to dock the handheld dust bin onto the wand, which provides excellent stability and eliminates the need for an external stand. I particularly enjoy the front-facing LED lights which illuminate hidden dust bunnies that would otherwise go unnoticed. The unit is easy to maneuver, and switching between attachments is a seamless process. Regarding performance, the FloorDetect technology is quite responsive, audibly shifting its suction power when transitioning between carpets and hardwood. While the vacuum isn't whisper-quiet, the noise level remains manageable. It features a HEPA filtration system, making it a great option for allergy sufferers. At approximately 7 lbs, it’s quite portable, though I did find the dust cup to be somewhat small ~ it requires frequent emptying to prevent debris from becoming too compact, as tightly packed dust doesn't release easily from the bottom. Battery life is dependent on usage; while it lasts up to 40 minutes on the standard setting with non-motorized tools, employing the max power mode significantly reduced my runtime to about 17 minutes. Thankfully, the removable clutch-style battery makes recharging convenient, as it can be charged independently on a countertop. While it is unfortunate that Shark did not provide additional filters, the handheld mode works effectively, and the overall performance is impressive. I would certainly recommend this vacuum for light-duty chores. It's a reliable and efficient appliance!

The Shark Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum is an impressive machine. As someone that lives in a full house with two teenagers and two dogs, I am always cleaning and trying to keep our floors in good shape. I was excited when this cordless gem came into our lives. Let’s start at the beginning with the unboxing. The box contains the vacuum, two extra tools (Crevice & Pet), the power cord, and a quick start guide. Putting it together was a breeze and it was at that point that it was ready to work. It came fully charged and that was great to see. That’s nice considering it takes about 3 hours to get the battery back up to its full capacity for its 40-minute runtime. That could be better, but it is what it is. My first test was our bathroom floors that are covered with tile and/or wood. The suction was great and it picked up everything close to the wall. That included dust, small hairs, and the longer hairs belonging to one of my teenagers. It picked it all up nicely while moving it right into the XL dust bucket/cup. As a bonus, I didn’t see any of that long hair on the roller. While my corded vacuum did a great job on those same floors, I was always having to cut out the tangled hair every couple of uses. My second test involved multiple surfaces as well as going for an extended period of time. I used it on our bedroom carpet first. It did a pretty good job of picking up the lint, clothing threads, dog hair and more. After that, I moved onto our wooden hallway and kitchen floors. There it excelled in picking up everything that was in its path. I purposely left a cabinet in place while also leaving the lights off. The lighting from the vacuum was pretty nice and the ability to fold flat to get under the cabinet is awesome. I am thrilled about that feature. From that point, I transitioned back to the neighboring rooms with their carpeted floors. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to keep up. The ability to sense the flooring and automatically change in power is amazing. That is what allows this cordless vacuum to hold its own with most. If it still doesn’t seem like enough on certain surfaces, there is a turbo trigger on the handle that can be used to kick it up a notch. Ultimately, the Shark Cordless Pet Stick Vacuum may not replace our corded upright for deep cleaning days, but it will definitely share in the fun. This is great for hard surfaces, thinner carpets, stairs, and reaching hard places with its flexibility. Its lightweight and easy to use ability makes this vacuum suitable for all. I even tested it with both teens. They approve…and so do I. HA!

The Shark cordless stick vacuum is a fantastic supplemental option for families or households looking for a convenient cordless cleaning solution, but it will not replace a traditional full-size corded vacuum model. My first impressions upon unboxing it were fairly positive. It was well-packaged, and while there was an abundance of plastic, there was no foam and mostly cardboard for cushioning and holding parts in place. I would like to see a push to further reduce the amount of single-use plastic in Shark product packaging, but overall, unboxing was a positive experience. The way the vacuum folds and rests when not in use was a little finicky to figure out at first, though once I understood how it worked, I found it fairly clever. The Moonlight Blue color also looks nice, and the removable battery is especially convenient because it can be charged separately from the vacuum. This may be particularly relevant as you read on. In use, the suction is reasonably strong for a cordless vacuum. It does not pull as much dirt out of carpet as my corded vacuum, but it works very well for quick cleanups and can pick up crumbs, hair, and so on easily. I have two cats, and it picks up an impressive amount of pet hair! As any pet owner can tell you, vacuums sometimes struggle to pick up pet hair without causing issues with the rollers, and I was pleasantly surprised that this vacuum did not seem to. It can be used as either a stick vacuum or a handheld vacuum, and the included attachments make it useful for furniture and harder-to-reach areas. The LED headlights on the front are also genuinely helpful for spotting dust and hair that would otherwise be easy to miss. Now, for what is arguably the biggest drawback of this vacuum: the battery life. The advertised runtime is up to 40 minutes, although that figure applies to handheld use rather than regular floor cleaning. Even so, I was able to clean an entire room without the battery dying, which was enough for my needs but may not be enough for yours, especially if you have set ‘cleaning days’ and don’t want to bum around between charges. I would not expect it to clean a whole house on a single charge, especially when using the powered floor head or the boost mode, which I found to be a bit overkill (and not really enough to replace a more powerful vacuum altogether anyway). The external battery takes around three hours to charge, which feels a little long, but since it is removable, you may find value in buying a second battery to swap between charges. The vacuum is also somewhat awkward to wield because most of the weight is near the handle, and I wish there were somewhere on the vacuum to store the included attachments, since loose accessories have a habit of disappearing in my household. Overall, this is a convenient supplemental vacuum and would work great for smaller households. It is fantastic for pet hair, smaller messes, and quick cleanups when pulling out a larger vacuum feels like too much trouble. I am not sure it is the absolute best cordless option available, but I have very few complaints so far, and it performs well for what it is designed to do! I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

We have a small home, so this vacuum works perfectly. We have a dog who sheds, a toddler who toddles, and a newborn who doesn't really make the floor dirty, but is really a handful. So, with all of these things going on, the Shark Cordless runs long enough, has enough suction power and, most importantly, is quiet enough that it keeps our house clean without making being too much of a hassle to get going.

So I used the more tried and true Shark navigator. Not a terrible vacuum at all but was a bit too bulky, too much suction on my plush rugs and of course it was corded. Enter the Shark cordless pet vacuum. It covered the 3 things I mentioned above. It works just fine on plush rugs. It is slim and nimble and its cordless so I can move from room to room seamlessly. So far a 40 min runtime is no big deal as I have a fairly small apt so if you’ve got a large house it might not be the product for you. This was worth the extra $20. Couldn’t be happier with the product.

If I were going solely off the claims this vacuum makes in terms of suction, cleaning performance, and ease of use, I would easily say this stick vac lives up to all the hype. I can admit that right off the bat. The only issue I have is the design. I'll go into detail on everything below, but I wanted to give the quick synopsis up front. Let's start with the suction power. This cordless vac replaced another Shark model that I had in my home. It was a bit sleeker in its design, but it lacked the cleaning power to be a stand-in for my larger primary vacuum. The new cordless pet vac has enough power that it can handle about 90% of the jobs my primary vacuum does. With its extended runtime and large dust cup, I can basically clean my entire place on a single charge without even plugging in my main vacuum. From the kitchen to the bathroom to the rugs, it was able to pick up everything, keep the rollers clear, and do so with relative ease while pushing. It has lots of power, and there's a very easy-to-access high-power mode that's activated by simply pulling the trigger at the top. If you need an extra boost, just pull the trigger and off you go. This leads to some great features, such as the LED lights. It has a flat profile that allows you to get under furniture, and the LED lights help you spot hidden dust that you would otherwise miss. It's also very versatile. You can use it as an upright, unclick the wand to reach high places, add an attachment to get into crevices, or attach the motorized tool to tackle pet hair or other hair around the house. The battery is huge, but it provides roughly three times the cleaning time of my previous stick vac. Unfortunately, you have to plug the battery in directly, as there isn't a charging dock that charges it while it's stored. The good news—or bad, depending on how you look at it—is that the battery is removable if you'd rather charge it separately. In essence, you could buy a second battery and keep it on standby in case you forget to charge the first one and need to finish a cleaning job. As for runtime, it lives up to the hype, especially if you're not using full-power mode, which I rarely found necessary during my testing. Here's where I had enough of an issue to dock it a full star: the design. When you look at the product photos, it's shown fully assembled in the upright position. However, the trade-off for the extra runtime and larger dust cup is that the vacuum is very top-heavy, which means it can't stand on its own. If you're cleaning from room to room and need to stop to move something, you can't simply stand the vacuum upright and walk away because it will tip over. Instead, you have to lean it against a wall. I understand why this trade-off was necessary to accommodate the larger battery and dust cup, but I believe a stronger locking mechanism at the base could have allowed it to remain upright for both temporary stops and storage. As for storage, you have to disconnect the vacuum every time and hang it from the included wall mount. When stored this way, none of the additional attachments can remain connected. In other words, you have to remove any attachment before storing it and reconnect it each time you want to clean. This isn't a major issue, but it does feel like a step backward from the streamlined "grab-and-go" experience many stick vacuums offer. It's especially noticeable if you've owned a multi-purpose stick vac in the past that could simply stand upright in the corner between uses. Another minor annoyance I have with vacuum manufacturers in general is that when extra attachments are included, there should be a place to store them on the vacuum itself or at least in some type of storage caddy. The included attachments are genuinely useful, but otherwise they'll just end up sitting in a drawer unless you create a dedicated place for them. Aside from what I consider to be a flawed design, I found this cordless pet stick vac to be extremely powerful, very useful, and more than capable of handling the vast majority of my cleaning needs without having to pull out my full-size vacuum. It's just that the design makes it a bit awkward to use, and I have to change the way I vacuum to avoid having it tip over and crash onto the floor. Would I still recommend it? Absolutely. It lives up to its cleaning claims and is an extremely effective cleaning tool. I just wish the design matched the excellent performance.

i have been a Dyson user for many years, amd when my last one broke unexpectedly i had to run out to get a bew one. Now with Dyson prices now a days i had to look for a more resonable option. I got this one forna great price and let me tell you, this had been great so far. Great suction and battery life. Works just as great as Dyson for a fraction of the price!

This is the best vacuum I've ever owned! It works great and is very light weight. The suction power on it is really good as well. Also, like that it comes with attachments. We thought we wouldn't like one that doesn't store on the wall, but I think the way this one stores is much better.

This feels like a treat in a house full of dogs and hard surface floors. Sweeping every night felt like a chore. This feels easy. I sometimes go over the carpets but still use my regular vacuum for carpets as this feels more "surface level" on those. But easily sucks up whatever is on the floor from crumbs to dog hair to dust. It does seem to pick up more on the forward motion than on the return. My only gripe is that there is no holder for the vacuum itself. If it were regular and I would be plugging it in to use that may not be an issue as I'd stick it in a closet. But it has to be plugged in to be charged - so finding a place to plug it in and stand it up was a challenge. Even now its wedged between the garbage can and wall in the kitchen to keep it upright while charging. Other than that - love it.

the shark vaccuum is actually amazing, cleans my carpet very good, has its own LED light, detects somehow when ur vaccuuming the carpet and it goes into carpet mode which is amazing, even while cleaning wooden floors or ceramic/tiles, it does the job 10/10 every single time, never EVER faulty. EVEN has like a little trigger you can hold which makes the vaccuum even stronger, this is WORTH it.
