Basically you need these extra ones because the pads will get dirty very quickly and if you dont switch them out it will push dirty water around and then dry up and leave big spots. Best thing is to switch them often and have a separate way to wipe up the left over water that comes from the steam so it doesnt leave spots. Otherwise works well.

We have hardwood and vinyl flooring throughout our house. The Shark steam cleaner is great for cleaning up after, 2 large dogs that love to drool, a 7 year old and a “nearly” perfect husband (me). These last, but with the price of these I got several sets.

Great product! If washing in the washing machine after use make sure to pre rinse the excess dirt off in the sink first.
