Shit (MOD) (DVD Movie)

Set against the carefree backdrop of 1960s Myrtle Beach, Shag is a spirited coming-of-age comedy that celebrates friendship, freedom, and the thrill of growing up. Phoebe Cates (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Gremlins, Drop Dead Fred), Bridget Fonda (Singles, Jackie Brown, Point of No Return), Annabeth Gish (Mystic Pizza, The Haunting of Hill House, Beautiful Girls), and Page Hannah (Gremlins 2 The New Batch, Creepshow 2) star as four small-town South Carolina friends seeking one last summer adventure before adulthood calls. Between beach parties, wild dances, and romantic missteps, they discover who they are and what they want from life. Directed by Zelda Barron (Secret Places), the film captures both the excitement and uncertainty of youth with humor and heart. The supporting cast includes Robert Rusler (Sometimes They Come Back, Weird Science, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge), Tyrone Power Jr. (Cocoon), Jeff Yagher (V The Series), and Scott Coffey (Some Kind of Wonderful, Mulholland Drive), all adding to the film's lively energy and nostalgic charm. Fueled by a classic '60s soundtrack and anchored by vibrant performances, Shag perfectly blends laughter, love, and a touch of melancholy. A sun-soaked time capsule of friendship and self-discovery, it's no wonder this charming ensemble comedy has become a beloved cult favorite-an irresistible mix of humor, heart, and the unforgettable soundtrack of youth.

Footlight Parade is sheer cinematic joy. In this Depression-era romp, a timid stenographer (Ruby Keeler) removes her glasses and wow! she's a star. A gee-whiz tenor (Dick Powell) asserts his independence. Plucky chorines tap, greedy hangers-on get their comeuppances, and an indefatigable producer/dancer (James Cagney) and his girl Friday (Joan Blondell) work showbiz miracles to stage live prologues for talkie houses to keep their company afloat during hard times. Honeymoon Hotel, By a Waterfall and Shanghai Lil are the shows, directed by Busby Berkeley and filled with imagination-bending sets, startling camera angles, kaleidoscopic pageantry and a 20,000-gallon-per-minute waterfall. Curtain up!
