High-zoom Canon RF lens with stabilization and broad focal coverage, bundled for all-in-one versatility in travel and daily shooting.

The all-new Sigma 16-300mm F3.5-6.7 DC OS Contemporary Lens features an 18.8x zoom ratio, the world’s largest for an APS-C format mirrorless lens. Covering the entire range from wide-angle to super-telephoto, this extremely versatile lens brings the full range of photographic subjects within reach, from landscapes and portraits to wildlife and sports photography.

Perfect for wildlife, sports, travel and more, the RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM is a compact, lightweight telephoto lens for EOS R Series cameras, offering a versatile zoom range that brings subjects closer with ease. The RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM is similar in size to the EF 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 IS II USM lens, and not only reaches to 400mm, but also has fast Nano USM focusing and up to 6 stops of Coordinated IS when used in combination with an EOS R series camera featuring In-body Image Stabilization, like the EOS R5 and EOS R6, or 5.5 stops with an EOS R/RP camera. Using a single Ultra Low Dispersion lens element towards the front of the lens group corrects chromatic aberration throughout the entire zoom range, making your images look crisp and colorful with minimal color blur. The RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens can also accept both the RF1.4x and RF2x tele extenders giving you the effective maximum focal length of 560mm and 800mm respectively. With a control ring that allows for quick setting changes, including shutter speed and aperture, the RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM lens puts quality, convenience and control in your hands.

The lens construction of the Sigma AF 100-400MM f/5.6-6.3 DG DN OS comprises 16 groups and 22 elements, with one FLD and four SLDs used for the effective correction of aberrations and distortions. Built on the latest optical design technology and optimized for mirrorless systems, the new lens ensures the same high-resolution image quality all the way to the edges. In addition, it constantly achieves high levels of optical performance and makes the most of its capabilities as a zoom lens in any condition, at every focal length from wide to telephoto, and from close-up shots to telephoto photography.

This lens is great for versatility--close up or far away, one very lightweight lens that does it all. No need to carry several lenses. However, it did not live up to my expectations as far as allowing me to adjust its focus quickly in sport mode; for instance, getting it to focus on birds deep in a tree or on ships as we are driving by on a bridge at 70mph, or on dolphins diving in and out of water, When it did focus, it took wonderfully clear shots; but trying to get it to focus in a hurry on what I wanted it to focus on, rather than on what it chose, was just not happening!
