Q: where are the wire terminals located ?
A: Hi, Thank you for your question. The wire terminals are located on the front of the speaker behind the access door. Sonance Mariner speakers feature a unique way to wire and protect the speaker terminals. The speaker wire is inserted through a rubber grommet on the back of the speaker. It passes through to the front of the speaker, where you will make your connections to the spring-loaded terminals. Once connected, you place a cover (access door) over the terminals, which provides extra protection from the elements. We provide pictures of this on the Sonance Mariner 54 product page. Q: can they be hooked up to speaker stands ?
A: Hi, Thank you for your question. The Mariner 54 speakers feature two threaded mounting holes on the back of the speaker. These mounting holes accept 1/4-20 screws which you could use to mount them to speaker stands. A: They should. I use them with a traditional receiver with Sonos Connect, but they should work with Sonos Amp.
Q: are they completely waterproof and will they sound good off of my Onkyo TX-NR686 Receiver?

DRUMS
Very good speakers these are out side, very good sound separation is good as well as bass & treble. I listen to a lot of different music, cd, usb as well as turn table, xm radio pandora. Also use in walls for inside. The outsides speakers are 60 watts not a problem. Very highly recommend.

My favorite outdoor speakers
Exceptional sound and beautiful tones. These speakers light up our pool with party music and mood setting hot tub tones. From ordering to shipping to install this has been an excellent experience!

Great sounding, easy to install.
Overall, great sounding but could have used a bigger size speaker for the area. Overall, the power is sufficient but not booming. I installed these under the eaves by my patio. The speakers came with brackets to make for easy installation. The wiring was already in place by my builder so consider help with wiring unless you are very handy.
