Sony has been my mainstay from the late 70's to present. Over the years Sony has not disappointed with it's superb picture quality and vivid colors. This is just one of two Sony TVs I've purchased these past two months. Sony has taken it one step further in 2022 by introducing OLED, which is superb, beyond a doubt. Geek Squad did an excellent job installing my wall mount. Unfortunately the wire (cap) covers were back ordered and I had to shop Home Depot to finish the job. The future of Technology Electronics have come a long way these past few years and everything just gets better. I am a "Cord Cutter" and have been for almost 13 years, NO cable..NO satellite, so I make the best of it by viewing on my Roku 4K Ultra stick (Best Buy) and Youtube. My TV was installed in our bedroom to enjoy anytime.

I own the Sony Bravia 8 in the 65" size. Best TV I ever owned! This Sony 42" Bravia XR A90K is a smaller version of the Bravia 8. I couldn't be any happier. For me I made the right choice. Color and imaging is fantastic. The built-in sound speakers are pretty good too. Seeing and hearing is believing. Thank you SONY

I've been waiting for this TV for a long time and wasn't disappointed! The build quality is top-notch. The OLED colors really sparkle. The sound is fine through my Sonos sub and speakers. The backlit remote is a nice touch, and I can run my Apple TV and cable box through the remote with no problem. Also the Geek Squad guy who installed it was great, spending over two hours setting it up on a tabletop stand that I had (to fit the limited space) and really doing a superb job with cable management and tweaking the settings. I am one happy customer and look forward to watching college football on this TV - and the LOTR 4K extended version!

This TV is minimalist and sleek. It is bright with pitch blacks and very accurate colors. UHD materials look amazing on this screen. The speakers sound good and go lower than expected for a screen this thin. The remote is metal topped, backlit, and feels comfortably solid in the hand. The only down side is it relies on Google talk for voice commands, so if you use an android phone, they can interfere with eachother.

Nothing beats Sony's video processing. Quick settings let you easily watch movies without motion frames/smoothing, the way they were intended to be seen. Cinema mode also changes the color to something more natural. Netflix defaults to Dolby Vision and you can choose between bright or less bright. But Sony also gives you complete control over the image with a custom quick setting, too. As far as gaming, you're gonna love how this works with a PS 5 -- but the way it upscales PS3 content is remarkable. It is totally breathing new life into our old games. And the best kept secret of this tv has got to be the sound. Even at low volume, the A90K sounds fantastic -- the tech on this is incredible -- we are forgoing a sound bar altogether. It's worth mentioning that the anti-glare coating is much preferable to the LG, in our opinion -- it softens reflections which might otherwise become distracting. Of course, the OLED inky blacks are mysterious . . . captivating.

Excellent TV for a smaller room. It ended up being too small for our master bedroom, so we discovered the 48" would fit and exchanged it. The OLED is fantastic as far as colors, sharpness, blacks, and for our purposes to fit in our cabinet, the skinny depth was why a larger regular 4K would not fit. The depth of the regular LED 4KTVs are much deeper, and heavier, and the base on the OLED was perfect instead of those spokey feet on the other non OLED TVs. This is the one I have been waiting for all these years. And adding the 4K Fire Stick on Prime has made watching shows in 4K exceptional.

Bravia TVs always bring the best sound quality without adding sound bars and such

Originally, I purchased the X85J. However, I did not realize that the X85J, for a second generation, shared the same blur issue as the X900 series (often referred to as the “X900 blur.”), when using it with a PC at 4K 120Hz. My desk shares a space with both a PS5 and PC, so I needed an “all-in-one” next gen solution and, ideally? It would be a TV, since next gen consoles only support 16:9 and when I PC game I use 21:9, which this display runs nicely, when setup with a custom resolution/ scaling. Otherwise it was this or buy the average 34” ultrawide with the same features (when more come out with HDMI 2.1/ VRR and aren’t over the cost of this TV) but the issue with that is if I 16:9 game on a 34” ultrawide I have a picture that is mostly black bars to the left and right and the picture height is little over 13” and with maybe 24” - 25” inches in width…all centered on the display. With a 42-43” TV setup? I can have a full 16:9 experience on console and when I go to run 21:9, for PC? My display area is actually much larger that of your common 34” ultrawide, with roughly 15” viewable height and the full width of the TV. Works for me! Construction quality on this display is solid! The back side is so tough that at first? I thought it was metal. It feels more reinforced than the X85 for sure. And even being slightly smaller? Seems to weigh more than it as well. The picture is bright. In SDR and in HDR. But outside of that? It looks pretty on par with the X85J. Which speaks wonders about the cheaper alternative. The black point on the X85J was amazing, for not being OLED. Sound is a little shallow and lacking in midrange but otherwise acceptable and crisp. Overall? I’d hire getting this for next gen gaming? I’d strongly consider the X85J. It’s not quite as bright but it looks darn similar, for the cost. Not to mention? The X900 blur doesn’t occur at 120Hz gaming on Series: X or PS5…that’s only a PC problem…so definitely get this TV, if 4K 120Hz gaming means anything to you. And if you’re into ultrawide gaming? It will do it! And is cheaper than the equivalent 34” and 49” HDMI 2.1 ultrawides currently out. I believe LG’s one of the few that do it at $1800.00.

The color and clarity on this television is amazing. I was concerned about setting this up myself, but the TV pretty much walks you through it. I brought the TV home and within a couple hours we were watching our favorite shows. I love how realistic the picture is.

Set up was easy and the pedestal base is heavy and very stable. Picture quality is great It has a large number of apps and channels. Picture and sound are adjustable to your liking. Very happy with this 42 inch television.

I had to bond with this Television @ first to get to know it and it’s features. I did get a Sony sound bar to match and I’m absolutely loving it as it sound amazing especially for listening to music. The picture quality is great and thd features such as the remote has a command button that you speak to Just like my Cable remote that made me more comfortable. The television goes into sleep mode when I’m not watching it also which is super dooper. Overall it’s really Smart tele. I know it has features I have yet to unlock but just enjoying it right now. You can sign in to google as it’s google friendly and is a part of its mechanical makeup.

Perfect TV for gaming. The black level probably best I’ve seen. I had an old Bravia led. It’s a big upgrade, not only for gaming but movies and shows as well. Great picture and sounds.

Bought an open box in Excellent condition unit. Looks perfect! Probably never came out of the box in the first place. I have the larger 55” and love the direct sound. Needed this for a smaller area.

I wanted a setup to have 2 monitors side by side 42”. My setup includes mobile mounts to ensure have sufficient depth and arm length from my table. Although this will not suffice 2x27s . The text appears crisp, no abrupt abl dimming not as intrusive or noticible. Over all crisp picture quality, sounds okay for a small setup not phenomenal and burn in only time will tell. But for my simple setup this has worked well . I had to place them angled to get a semi curved. Immersive appearance to fill my view. Overall I recommend it

Quality is good but not as vibrant as the LG Oled C3. I have the C3 in another room and what a difference. Honestly the C3 is better for videos games and movies. It’s good l, but not great.

Very good tv. Good quality pictures easy to use and good sound.

Outstanding color, responsive and quick, and a crystal clear picture. I’m not a gamer, using this in a bedroom for watching movies and shows. Consistent color throughout and when changing apps. I was able to find an open box and purchased this TV for $700 off the retail price.

So far the TV is excellent. The small size is good for a bedroom or other small space. The low stand and tiny bezel make the TV very small but with the 42 inch size screen. I bought this as a Geek Squad Certified so I will have to do a follow-up regarding longevity. I was expecting a better job on packaging and was frankly worried when it arrived. Not impressed at all by how they repackaged the TV.
