I have nine Sony TVs throughout my house - everything from a KDL-32W600D in my office to an XBR-85A9G in the "great room". I guess you would say I'm a Sony loyalist - even my alarm clocks are all Sony! I have this particular TV in my garage/work room. As with most Sony TV's, the picture quality was great, straight out of box. I set the picture quality to "Dolby Vision Bright" and did not need to make any adjustments. The sound quality is good for an entry level set such as this one. I use a Roku ultra device as audio/video source. The Roku's remote can control your TV, so I use it in place of the supplied Sony remote. The Sony remote is "bare bones" and is the one "ding" against this TV but as I mentioned, I don't really need it since I use the Roku remote. So, overall, I would definitely recommend this TV to someone looking for Sony quality at a bargain price.

Brilliant while in HDR mode. Google-enabled feature is helpful, but also not bloated, or in the way. The settings and ui are mostly intuitive, and switching inputs or apps is fast and painless. The sound is not good, but I did not purchase this TV for its native sound, as we use an external sound system. The remote is OK, but you may accidentally hit a button or two. Otherwise a thin, and light remote. NOTE: we disconnected our FireTV because it almost seemed the two AI personalities were clashing, causing sudden input switching and other small annoyances. Still not sure if the problem was the TV or not, but every time it switched to the Arc input.

When you mother in law wants a new TV for the Living Room you buy the same brand as you own, I got this X80K series since it has the best color and best sound of any SONY tv. Setup was easy - HDMI connection to a 4K cable service - HDMI connection to a DVD Player - HDMI. Connection to a FireStick. All inputs are spot on and work perfectly. Why do I buy SONY - Longevity, Great no Excellent picture, support (firmware updates), multiple connections (HDMI), very configurable !!!! HDR on this unit is super nice !!!

Best purchase ever. For the price, this is an absolute steal, not only the Google OS is seamless, the home theater like built in speakers make it such an experience. Sticking to Sony Bravia’s for the foreseen future. One can also personalize each HDMI slot depending on what its used for, TV, PS etc… the level of brightness and sound is adjusted accordingly.
