A: Sony just got the phone certified through Verizon (https://twitter.com/SonyXperiaUS/status/1024731663979433985). You can use Verizon but are probably limited to LTE only coverage.

A: Yes. I have been using it with straight talk for several weeks now.
Q: Will this work with metropcs?
A: Yes, you can use this phone with GSM carriers.

Q: I read that this phone is compatible with Verizon. Can this be confirmed before I buy?

Q: Will this work with straight talk sin card???
A: Yes, it will work with Straight Talk SIM cards as long as your choose a GSM sim and NOT CDMA (Sprint, Verizon).
Q: is this phone able to use Tmobiles Extended range LTE?
A: Yes I have T-Mobile and it is fully compatible with LTE bands 2,4,12
Q: If it's an unlocked phone, then why can't it be used with Verizon?
A: Generally speaking unlocked phones mean they're GSM unlocked and Universal unlocked phones are typically compatible with CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon. Verizon lately has allowed certain phones to be certified to work on their network as an LTE only device and the XA2 as of today is certified to work on Verizon. Keep in mind that you have no 3G fallback so if LTE coverage is lacking then this might not be the phone for you.
