The game play turn based is cool for strategy, although some weapons are underpowered vs the NPC when they can heal back to full.

Star Wars: Zero Company delivers an exciting and immersive Star Wars experience with engaging tactical gameplay, strong squad-based mechanics, and a compelling story. The game captures the spirit of the Star Wars universe while offering meaningful strategic choices and memorable characters. With polished presentation and rewarding combat, it's a great addition for both Star Wars fans and strategy game enthusiasts.

Incredible game– absolutely took over my life for a solid two weeks. Bioware-tier animation and voice acting, a solidly challenging but totally breakable difficulty curve, gorgeous graphics. The plot is pretty good, nothing mind-blowing but definitely solid. The weakest part of this game is the performance and unfinished content. You can definitely tell that EA cut development time short– there are a lot of half-baked/barely-implemented features in the game, like 3rd person exploration on certain missions (a la KotOR/Mass Effect) and base upgrades. There are also crew members on your ship that seemingly do absolutely nothing- they barely even have a story that progresses. I really hope they can make some DLC or even a sequel. If EA gave this team a little more time and resources, this would be a serious GOTY contender, and probably the best Star Wars game since KotOR. As it stands, I'd consider it a must-buy if you are Star Wars and tactical gameplay fan. If you are only a fan of one or the other, maybe try to play a demo or borrow a copy from a friend... while you still can. Physical media forever! No more MBA imbeciles running creative companies!

Absolutely fantastic game. Gameplay is straightforward for a tactics game. Wish it had more variety of customization but options are still present. Story is absolutely wonderful.

This is exactly the type of game you would expect if XCOM and Star Wars had a baby. The game is fantastic and having to pick your mission is great too. You can also pick which type of character to recruit from a list, as well as which attachments to add to your characters and weapons. If they are injured you out them in med bay for a mission or so and then get them back. And then continue building your base out as well. Again pretty much XCOM with a Stat Wars skin. If you like the gameplay of XCOM and love Star Wars this is for you and I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

If you're a fan of strategy games especially the XCOM series then this game is definitely worth the buy! The characters you get have great voice acting and writing and the game play itself is very familiar if you are a veteran of the XCOM series. Hope they have DLC that comes out for this later down the line and hopefully they can make a sequel. Also the game is completely playable off the disc without any updates or having to be connected online so that's a plus +++

The gameplay has that addictive flavor that the XCOM games are known for. The story is actually a very solid Star Wars story that follows it's own beat, but can also flesh out some of the characters from the Star Wars universe. Overall, a great purchase for those who are craving a solid turn-based strategy game and are fans of Star Wars.

If you like Xcom and star wars, you don't need to read anything about this game just buy it. If you are new to Xcom then continue on. Zero Company is a turn based strategy game that uses a grid to move around a map to defeat your opponents with lasers and brute force. It's not unlike Final Fantasy Tactics or Octopath Travel except the attacks are mostly range based with blasters but there is some melee combat. Between battles you operate on a hub where you can upgrade your starship, guns, and operators to return to battle even stronger. One of the more unique aspects of XCOM games was that you could turn on a setting where if your operator died, they would no longer be a playable character. This game is no different. You do have an opportunity to heal a downed operator but if they fall three in the same fight or without recovering they will be lost forever. This game is for real time strategy fans more than star wars fans. It's one of my favorite genres of all time. My only big criticism is the often glitches that might happen with the cinematic while the team moves around or the weird choppiness in cinematic's between missions. It's not crashing the game but this was present in xcom too and seems to happen frequently. Other than that these games have a special spot in my consoles heart. I love XCOM/4 Zero Company

Gameplay was fun reminded me of XCOM but in SW universe. Storyline was captivating. Glad to have made the purchase

The gameplay is solid the story isn't bad and it has D Bradley Baker voicing the clones so if you grew up on clone wars like me there is some nostalgia one problem I have is that the combat is more intense than other similar games like Xcom but I wouldn't say you're going from animal crossing to dark souls in terms of difficulty its more like the game has more mechanics you need to learn compared to Xcom the price is also lower than most games today and I wouldn't say you honestly get more than enough quality for what you pay

It has been a while since I played a turn based strategy game. While this game has some quirks it’s a great game. The story, characters, the gameplay. I couldn’t stop playing it. They should think about doing another game like this or some serious dlc. This is definitely a must play.

Really excited for Star Wars Zero Company. The tactical gameplay and squad-based combat look like a really cool change of pace for Star Wars games, and I like the darker tone they’re going for. Definitely looking forward to playing more and seeing what they do with the story and characters.

Having a blast. Really enjoying this game. One of the best Star Wars games I've played in a while. The XCOM style of play added with a new Star Wars story and characters are a dream to be playing. Highly recommend it!

It seems like in the Disney era, most Star Wars stories have been a miss, but the video games that have come out have told some amazing Star Wars stories and this is one of them. The story and voice acting are fantastic. I am a fan of X-Com style tactics games, so this really hit the spot. The character customizations are fun and the game feels complete. The only dislike I would throw in was for my experience on a base (non-pro) PS5, I experience some loading hang-ups in between turns and a ton of graphical pop-in, late texture loads, and frame rate issues. It was very noticable and distracted me often, but the game was fantastic and given that it is turn-based it did not affect gameplay. Highly recommended if you are a Star Wars or X-Com fan.

This story is set at the end of the clone wars era and into the beginning of the rebels era. There's tons of references and Easter eggs for people who are fans of all the animated series by Faloni, and recognizable voice actors return. It's a very fun, compelling, and at times really funny story but not in the marvel type of humor. I hope some of the writers get to work on other Star Wars media because this is really a great story. Gameplay wise, it's not as good as x-com, but plays exactly the same, just with a star wars twist. I wish there were more missions or free battles, because every mission counts as a day and there are only about 40 days before the game ends. Still, the gameplay is serviceable for a great story. The only other issue is bugs, tons of them, but at least it never crashed on me. I did get scared a few times that it would make me have to restart, but it managed to get unstuck.

I bought Zero Company from Best Buy because no other game stores had it on it's launch date! In and out of the store in 5 minutes. Best Buy is the only reliable hassle-free experience when buying games!

The best Star Wars games in years since Jedi Survivor. The story isn’t anything too surprising, but the characters, gameplay, and campaign are great!

I recently played Gears of War Tactics and Alien Dark Descent. I didn't realize how much I liked strategy games. Star Wars Zero Company definitely scratches that it!
If you like Star Wars and XCom, you'll absolutely love this game. The "perma-death" mechanic makes everything feel impactful and the action is top notch!
