I purchased the movie "Still Alice" as a birthday gift for my grandmother because she read the book and told me that it is inspiring and she enjoyed reading it. The book was written by Lisa Genova, who is an American neuroscientist and author. It is about a linguistics professor named Alice who is diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease and married with three children. The price was lower than many movies that recently became available to purchase on DVD (Still Alice became available in May) so the price is reasonable ($19.99). I believe that my grandmother will enjoy watching it and I would recommend it.

A tough watch if you've ever watched someone you really care about start their struggle with this disease. Richard Glatzer & Wash Westmoreland great direction. Easy to see why Julianne Moore won an Oscar for her performance. Good job by Kristen Stewart as well ( breaking out of the Bella Swan-Cullen persona ).

This is a good movie that shows what a family can go through when a loved one has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. It starts with the early stage diagnosis and goes until she cannot remember anyone, or anything. The only reason I did not say this was a great, or excellent movie, was because I did not like the ending.

What a performance!! She deserved the Best Actress Academy Award! She embodied the character for all its worth.

Julianne Moore and the rest of the cast of this movie were all excellent. The story was sad and scary. Scary to know this kind of ailment exists, and sad to know that it could happen to people who have so much to give. I think everyone should see this movie.

I had my mom watch this too. We both love it and I'm so glad i bought it so i can watch it over & over. I absolutely recommend it, it is a great buy. Julianne Moore is one of my favorite actress.

Best Buy offers DVDs at the best prices! If they are higher than the competition by a dollar or so, they always price match with no problem whatsoever! Great place to shop for fantastic deals!

If you have ever known someone with Alzheimer's ... This is a very touching story that pulls on all your heart strings. I will definately watch this one a second time ...

The movie gives you a great insight into what life is like for anyone with dementia. You will have more compassion and understanding for those who have this disease.

Great movie. The acting was right on as I identified with her as my mom died of the disease herself. Sad but true to real life.

I like Julianne Moore movies and she's performed amazingly in this one. The movie makes you think about how short a heath life can be.

I was amazed at the way Alice went from normal to so out of touch with her life. Scary to think that this could happen to anyone.

It makes you think about all the people struggling with this decease. It makes you want to help someone in that situation.

This is a very interesting movie. It addresses a subject that may affect many people. I think it especially appeals to those born 50+ years ago.

I was recommended Still Alice by a Friend. Due to a Family just diagnosed with Dementia It helped me educate myself with This Medical Condition.

I have not watched this yet, but since it is based on a good book, I anticipate it being good
