The Splatoon Special Edition OLED Switch was an upgrade from the switch lite that nicely served me for three years. The console was also bought in preparation for the release of Tears of the Kingdom, so I could experience the game on a large, and most importantly, colorful, bright screen. The console feels like an incredible step up from the lite, starting with size of the screen and brightness of the screen, and ending with a unique console design and added functionality of the sturdy kickstand and ability to detach the joycons if you get tired of holding the console. What impressed me the most about the console is the improved battery life. If the lite would be quickly depleted of battery life after even an hour of BOTW or Pokémon, the OLED handles multiple hours of handheld gaming even with relatively high brightness settings. The console generally feels a lot faster in terms of using the interface, as well as the games all running smoothly with no frame rate issues, with even the touchscreen feeling a lot more responsive. With all that said, this OLED console is a great buy that supports any kind of play style and serves as great eye candy thanks to its bright and unique design among some of the other special editions.

Easily the nicest switch out there. I love the graphics on the back of the console and the multicolored joy cons. Oled screen is awesome and you don’t really notice the resolution is only 720p. My games run smoothly. I put a zagg screen protector and console protector on it because let’s face it it’s designed to tote around. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on it. It truly stands out. If you don’t have a switch yet this is the way to go. It’s worth the extra $10, or you can opt for the Zelda special edition one.

The OLED screen, design of the console, and increased battery life over the v1 model made this an instant buy for me. The decals on the joycons look great and the engravings on the console feel premium. I may be biased as I am a big fan of the franchise, but compared to the other special edition models on the market, there’s more detail all round. This is the without a doubt the best OLED model right now.

Upgraded from a nintendo lite switch. The bigger oled screen, is worth the extra bucks. Much more comfortable to play on, I didn't know being able to play on the tv was something I needed. Plus, it's a great design, especially the semi transparent back on the joycons. :)

Overall and improvement form the original switch. Love the bigger OLED screen, makes gaming more fun and immersive. The design is also great. I mainly use it handheld as i game on PC at home so gotta love the bright large screen.

Nicely tagged Switch OLED edition that has some nice little graphics throughout. It's a bit loud in its color, but that's completely in line with the game series. The joy-cons included are the most unique elements, with a dual-tone gradient on each side (one core plastic color each, which is what the system recognizes these as well - Blue & Yellow) The back of each is an interesting, squid-like translucent white plastic. Like the Animal Crossing edition switch in the past, these have a subtle imagery on the back of the screen. In this model, it feels like this imagery is less-raised and harder to detect with your hands. All is very nicely done.

[Employee of bestbuy] I originally had the Switch Lite, but I teallt wanted to play on my tv. Plus some games aren’t available on the Lite, so I upgraded and I’m so glad I did! The OLED screen on the device helps with eye strain and I can see characters and dark corners way better than before. The colorful controllers are so cute! The kick stand is bigger and way useful. It does not come with Splatoon on the device, so keep that in mind. Easy to link your Nintendo account in the settings.

Looks great, the screen is immaculate. The gradient looks even better in person. The texture on the switch itself also loons amazing. The dock is an art piece to have for your living room game set up too. Box looks amazing for collection purposes, sadly could not keep it. A bird was injured at my place and i didnt have any box to get him to a shelter. Attached is a picture of the little fella in the box.

I love this version of the Switch, primarily due to the JoyCon colors and the Splatoon theming, but I updated from a Switch Lite and the OLED version is AMAZING. Such a clear picture and the fact that the full Switch has a larger screen is great. I'm looking forward to connecting to my tv and playing Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom on full screen. Highly recommend the OLED for the screen clarity.

We already have a regular Nintendo switch but i wanted one for my office. I’m so happy I bought this one! I love the graphics and how cute it looks. Got the Kirby game for it and it’s just so much fun. I recently traveled and it came with me. Not bulky at all. I did end up buying a micro sd card as the console doesn’t offer a lot of memory.. either way, I Love it!!

Finally decided to upgrade from the original Nintendo Switch. I usually game on the go so the upgrade made sense. Definitely worth playing on the bigger better looking screen. Plus the battery life is better.. If you're a person who plays in hand held mode most of the time then the upgrade is worth it.

Such a beautiful console I got one for me and my fiance and we both love how big the screen is, the designs on the switch/joycons, and the battery life def lasts a bit longer than the OG switch. I also kept the box cause of how awesome it looked

Nice change from the original. The controllers are a bit more loose than I expected, when clicked in - but still work fine. Plenty of battery life, beautiful screen.

I had the V2 switch which is great, but the screen on this oled just makes a world of a difference. Also the design on the back including the joycons on this splatoon edition make it so much nicer.

Well what can i say, this is a super bundle too bad it doesn't have the game inside but i don't care the switch looks awsome with its white dock in grey more like dirty white looking squid drawings with the graffiti and that big green gorgeous splat im happy with my purchase this switch may not be a big upgrade but its cool that amoled display is vibrant better looking than the old one i had if you want something awesome get it wont disappoint you but HURRY!!! it just came back in stock don't miss out on it if you did before buy it you will love the splatoons 3 oled switch

I love this switch i had the 2017 model but it wqs a bit scratched and had a little blue line acrros the screen it wasnt that messed up but still the original joy cons were beyond repair too so i decided to get an oled my friends told me you already have one your just going to stop using it after a few days oh they were wrong if you have a older model thats not in the best conditions upgrade to this if you have the money the only difference from the og is in handheld mode but thats no problem for me because its my favorite way to play

I’ve had my OLED for nearly a year now which kinda boggles my mind and I absolutely love it!!! It’s so easy to travel with, charges fast, has a ton of games, has Bluetooth so I can use my headphones as I play, and hooks up to the tv!!! There’s a ton of other things I love about it but the storage that comes with it is pretty good!!! Not to mention if you’re like me and bought a 256 gb storage card so I’ll basically never not have storage for a game!!!

This special edition is special indeed! From the look to the feel, Nintendo paid very close attention to detail. The controllers have a matte finish that make it feel very sturdy in your hands. The back of the joycons are frosted and slightly see-thru. It’s such a cool detail that really makes the design pop in any lighting. The only problem you’ll have with this switch is not having enough time to play. Side note, you do not in any way have to be a Splatoon fan to enjoy this special edition. I mostly play Animal Crossing or Mario games and I love it!
