Just finished this and mostly loved it. The excellent art style and "meta" story are hugely enjoyable. Innovative gameplay too...it's a fairly long game but stays fresh by introducing new gameplay mechanics throughout, right up to the very end. Some of which are clever and unlike anything else I've played. Unfortunately the game is sometimes frustrating, and sometimes buggy. I had to replay probably three or four sections, because for example a door wouldn't open when it's supposed to, leaving no way to proceed. Worse yet, occasionally the controls are just awful. There's a flying segment near the end of the game that works so poorly I almost gave up. It took extreme patience to get through it, and once I did, it was followed by one of the most fun segments of the whole game, so I was glad I stuck with it. Go figure...it's a little inconsistent like that. Bad controls are borderline unacceptable in a game where the controls are so central to the experience that the characters break the fourth wall and talk about them!

The original Tearaway for the Vita is a masterpiece, no doubt about it, and Tearaway Unfolded deserves to be etched in the history books as one of the greatest of this generation. It is not simply a port of the Vita version to the PS4, it is a remaking of the original that has been masterfully crafted to uniquely take advantage of the PS4's capabilities. The story-telling in this game is top-notch and you will love the character's and your sense of ownership over their journey. A great game for adults and kids alike. In fact, the family may enjoy playing this game together, taking turns solving the puzzles, finding secrets, and creating things for the characters to wear and use. Highly recommended.

It is more a remake than a remaster and full of creativity. Everything that was awesome on the PS Vita is more awesome on the PS4. Its bigger, better and more creative in the way you can play. The Story is extremely heartwarming and you play the whole time with a big smile on your face. When you're looking for an experience like the old days when you was a child than play Tearaway Unfolded and show it to your friends and family, they will love it too. And also try the PS Companion App. You can connect to the game directly and a friend next to you can draw some cool stuff with your smartphone and can bring it to your game asap.

If you enjoyed the original version on the Vita you will enjoy this one as well. The developers do a good job of getting you into the game from the get go. Gameplay is top notch which is key for a good platformer. Solid ideas and the art style is one of the best aspects of this game.

Tearaway is a very unique platform/puzzle game made by the same folks who created LitlteBigPlanet. It was originally on the PS Vita and made use of nearly every hardware feature (gyro controls, rear touchpad, both cameras, etc.). However, it sold poorly despite rave reviews. Tearaway Unfolded is essentially the original Tearaway but converted to make use of the hardware features of the DualShock 4. It also runs at 1080p and a buttery-smooth 60fps. Personally, I prefer the original Vita version gameplay wise, but if you want to experience Tearaway (but don't have a PS Vita), this is a good alternative. My only real complaints with Tearaway in general that while it does have visual charm, it gets rather boring at times and seems to drag at some points in the game. I still recommend the game, but try the demo first to see if this is worth a buy for you. Its gameplay may not exactly appeal to everybody.

This is a relaxing game. One for platforming fans and those who are creative. It has a unique art style with paper characters and locations and a basic and whimsical story. The difficulty factor is almost zero, you can't die or lose. When you get hit too many times or fall you just come back again like the lego games. It is still fun because it uses every feature of the Dualshock 4 controller in an interesting way to interact with the characters and environment. I like it.

I went into this game having played a little bit of the Vita version and was looking forward to enjoying it on a bigger screen. Sadly, the game was so dull I ended up selling it long before I ever finished it. The graphics are stunning, and the presentation is incredible, but your character runs so slow and the game world doesn't really present you with anything interesting to do. Small children might be able to get some enjoyment out of it but anyone who's played a 3D platformer before might want to look elsewhere.

This is a great he port of the original that came out for the PlayStation vita. Definitely one of those games you have to play to fully appreciate. Beautiful graphics and great story

Such a cute, charming and just ovetall amazing remainging/update of the vita game. I played and enjoyed it on vita and now am enjoying it even more on ps4. Some things are the same but believe me there are loads of brand new content added to Unfolded that you didn't and will not find in the vita version. The gameplay mechanices are built around the ps4 motion and touch controls and they are used in great ways. You owe it to yourself to experience Tearaway Unfolded.

this game is better than the vita one, i would not recommend it if you played the vita game however. the ps4 controller makes a big difference,

Right off the bat I became enamored with the paper style graphics. From start to finish this game is lighthearted fun. The game makes great use of the PS4 light bar, touch pad and six axis features. You can also download the playstation app and draw your own designs and bring them to life in the game. The one problem I did find was the camera can be a little shaky in some levels but not enough to ruin this wonderful experience

Really different and fun game for the whole family - unlike anything else on the PS4. Give it a try!

I picked this up due to BB having this on sale thinking it was just going to be OK. But boy was I in for a surprise. The flat paper like nature of the character and the worlds kept our family entertained and it encouraged everyone to explore the worlds. The game is easy enough for my 6 year old to learn and master but my 4 year old had some difficulty. I highly recommend the game even if it's not on sale. Great family fun!

Seriously, this is probably the best PS4 exclusive. There is a ton of content that differentiates it from the OG Vita version, so that it practically feels like a new game. Any PS4 owner owes it to themselves to pick this up. Especially for only $40 (or $32), it's a no-brainer. We need more of these unique and highly creative experiences in regards to video games.

This game is just a pure joy to play. It's lighthearted and oozing with creative style. The mechanics are great and anyone who enjoys a good platformer owes it to themselves to try this one out. Game makes great use of the PlayStation app and camera and they really add to the overall experience.

I got this because I liked LittleBig Planet and its by the same studio. It's not the same or similar but it gives off a similar vibe. Different and fun animation style that young kids would love while being challenging for older folks. Definitely would recommend this game

Media Molecule has done it again. This is a really great game for the whole family. It utilizes many of the PS4's features very well, has a beautiful graphics engine and it has some very meaningful symbolism. My favorite game this year so far. Would recommend highly.

Tearaway can make a grown man year up and is an amazing experience. The Vita version is still something of a better experience, but not many own that. Experiencing Tearaway is basically a MUST.
