The game has some teething problems on base PS5 when it comes to performance (FPS, frame pacing, pop-in, graphic presets), but looking past the technical issues, which I hope will be patched out, it has a great story, an interesting 30-day timer mechanic, and real differences between day and night gameplay. Strange difficulty curve, though, as the game does get ridiculously easy towards the end (bump up the difficulty settings around level 25). Still, I’d recommend it to pretty much everyone, but especially to fans of medieval fantasy RPGs like The Witcher, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor/War.

This game is incredible. I am a big fan of The Witcher 3 and have been excited about this game since the first trailers. I was worried about the directional combat system, but the game has enough accessibility settings to help you until it clicks. The time mechanic makes everything feel more important and makes you prioritize your decisions. The story is well thought out, and there aren't any lame fetch quests that we are all so tired of. The Day One edition also comes with a great-looking steelbook, which is great for physical game collectors; usually, you would pay an upcharge for a steelbook. You will enjoy your time in Vale Sangora!

I would be more excited had best buy actually shipped my game and I received it but I never did. So I had to buy it digitally. If you loved the Witcher 3 you're going to love this game. It surpassed my expectations for sure. Getting used to the omni directional blocking and fighting took a few but man is it fun when fighting more than one enemy. Also he has a lot of dope powers. During the day your a human and at night you're a vampire. The story has been great so far and the boss fights are awesome!

This open world rpg is a refreshing change of pace from most rpgs. It has a directional blocking and striking mechanic that immerses you more in the fight than just spamming one button. There is also a set amount of in game action time to complete the game but you are free to farm xp to your heart’s content without having to worry about the clock advancing. It also gives you a warning of clock progression before each action in case you want to wait to progress the clock.

This was easily one of my most anticipated games releasing in September, so I’m really glad I was able to get my hands on it. The story is intriguing, the exploration is enjoyable, and I really like the main protagonist. I also love that it’s a choice-based game, so you have to think carefully about the decisions you make because they can have an impact on how things play out. There are definitely a few bugs that still need to be worked out, but I have faith that the developers will fix them.

Fantastic story to follow, with many different endings. The choices you make actually impact future events, which feels nice. Also the timeline countdown is a breath of fresh air. It forces you to choose wisely, rather than be able to do every single thing with no repercussions. The combat is fun and feels good, especially once you become proficient! Some minor glitches but overall fantastic game!

This game feels just like the Witcher, which makes sense because it's made by a bunch of former CD Projekt developers. The game does a great job of balancing your witch and vampire abilities and making them feel unique. The writing is great and I never felt like the time limit actually limited me. If you're on the fence about this one and you like the Witcher 3, I definitely recommend you get it.

Honestly I haven't even played the game yet but I watched an interview with the game direct and he said that making games should never solely based around making money. Yes success is definitely what we all want but if you make a great product the game will sell itself so just focus on creating the best product for the gamer.........SOLD!!!!!!!

Cant go wrong with this one. Dont worry about the time mechanic. I finished most everything I wanted to do with plenty of time to spare. Stellar world building and narrative. Enemy variety a bit lacking towards the end. Music could be more center stage. Otherwise highly recommended.

I will be honest, I was super excited for this game. I love the witcher games and this game was made by a few people from CD project Red and people who worked on the witcher 3, so i was sold. But to be honest i have hit a few bugs that have haulted my game, and made it difficult to progress at times. But easy fixes in this day and age. But i also dislike the time management on some missions. I did one mission where i lost 3 hours/ bars to save a person in the forrest or to fix a shrine. Those seem a bit excessive. But for the studios first game this is a a soldi fun game.

This is a fun title that hits even more if you’re a Witcher fan. I myself I’m not really with your fan, but I love my time with this game. There’s not a lot of vampire games out there so this one hits that niche and I can’t wait to see the sequel from the studio!

This game rules! Great atmosphere, solid writing, and a time mechanic that feels oppressive but earned! It adds to the mood and desperation. Runs well so far on PS5. Highly recommended for the spooky season.

This was made by developers who formerly worked on the witcher games, and it shows. If you liked the witcher, you will love this game as well. My only issue is walking on walls can be janky at times, but I highly recommend it.

The game has its flaws, some expected jank with the camera and certain UI issues, but there is so much heart and passion in this title. I can’t wait to see where this story can go in future entries.

I picked this game up on a whim and ending up loving it more than I could possibly imagine; the writing is excellent, Coen is a great protagonist, story is very interesting and I really liked the progression of the gameplay.

Love this game, been wanting to play a vampire game for a long time and finally they released this game… super fun and engaging story.

Great story, characters, and gameplay. The time system in the game might divide some people, but it actually isn't THAT limiting.

I bought this game and it came with some digital goodies and a steelbook, really dig the artstyle on the steelbook.
