Amazing graphics and compelling story. Combat can get quite repetitive. For a true experience, play this in the dark with headphones that support 360 audio

One of my new favorite horror games! It was unfairly judged in my opinion. Great graphics, atmosphere and game play equal out to an extremely fun and new experience. Its not Dead Space! Its The Callisto Protocol!

Great game, I used my reward certificates and honey to get it cheaper at launch so it was worth it. Best buy didn't deliver my dlc but they gave me a $10 gift card so it was worth it. The game is scary and you have to figure out where to go like old survivor horror games. $50 is a good price for this game and ng+ comes is February with chapter select.

Personally I love this game and after the dlc and all modes were added with the quality of life improvements, I love it even more!

Not sure why this game has mediocre reviews. It was pretty entertaining overall. The mechanics basic and story is linear, but worth a play through. Side note, BB needs to improve on release day availability like their competitors.

If your familiar with dead space then this is the game for you creators of the original dead space who worked on this game its so good! creepy, scary atmosphere & the graphics are amazing jaw dropping on PS5

I don't care what the reviews say, this game is incredible. Other than goofy dodge mechanic lol the gameplay is smooth & responsive. The weapons look insane and pack a huge punch, the sound design is absolutely mind blowing and the graphics are second to none. If you wanted a true nex gen game that is loads of fun look no further.

This is one the top ten games I’ve ever played. Graphics, sound and story are entertainment. Definitely recommend picking this game up.

This game is amazing! It really brings out the best of the PS5. The graphics and overall tone make up for any janky dodge controls. Josh Dumels voice acting is spot on. The melee fighting is top notch. Buy it!

Definitely not the game we were all expecting, especially if you’ve played the Dead Space games, however it’s still a great game on its own. The visuals and sound design are excellent, with lots of great lighting effects and atmospheric sounds. However the combat/dodging do take some getting used to, even many hours into the game. Difficulty can also be an issue for some people. The story is a bit generic, nothing new here, however where the game truly shines is in its visceral amount of violence. There’re lots of different kill animations throughout the game for both your character and enemies. That’s where I feel a lot of the attention went into. Definitely not a kid’s game. In terms of replay value, I’d say it’s fair, however there will be a new game plus mode and DLC coming in the future.

Calisto Protocol is an excellent survival-horror game that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The game's atmosphere is incredibly immersive, with haunting sound effects, unsettling visuals, and a gripping storyline that kept me engaged throughout. The game's mechanics are well thought out and challenging, forcing players to think on their feet and make difficult decisions to survive. The graphics are stunning, and the attention to detail is impressive, making the world feel alive and dangerous. However, there are a few downsides to the game. The combat system can be a bit clunky at times, and the game can feel a bit repetitive in certain areas. Additionally, some of the puzzles can be frustratingly difficult, which may turn off some players. Overall, Calisto Protocol is a fantastic survival-horror game that I would highly recommend to fans of the genre.

Overall, very good game and great graphics. Two things it needed. One, game needed to be longer. Two, more enemies with jump scares.

This game was okay. The visuals and effects were really nice but controlling your character and environment were.....clunky. The story was simple but mildly entertaining. I wouldn't say its worth retail price but would be a fun pickup on a really good sale to play something different. The game is super short, adding to the point of not being worth retail.

It was a pretty good game it had the bugs when i played but that didn’t stop me for enjoying the game play. The story can be interesting but game play was still decent. Now that the games been updated and a lot of things have been fixed im thinking of going back and replaying it, from what i’ve seen it’s better now now so if you interested in it it good now to buy snd play.

Possibly the greatest looking game on the PS5 right now. The only thing holding this game back is the watered down story and frustrating combat. I enjoyed this because I love the genre. I’d say give it a shot and don’t listen to the reviewers. I also recommend playing on Medium difficulty first then playing on Hard with a NG+

I enjoyed the game overall. The last chapter or so was kinda lame but it was a fun and at times pretty darn scary game, especially with headphones. I feel Deadspace is better but I feel Callisto Protocol has potential and I hope to see another game.

Graphic is crazy but it doesn’t live up to Dead Space. Gameplay could be better. You cannot move big objects with your secondary power. Good game. Just don’t expect for it to be like dead space

Overall I enjoyed the game. It had an interesting story and some good jump scares. movement through each level was my biggest gripe. It wasn’t bad enough for me to dislike the experience.

The Callisto Protocol is an atmospheric game. It really delivers the sounds and visuals that make for an intense experience. However, the game isn't perfect. Within the first couple of hours, you will be 'tuned' in on when to expect jump scares. See a vent cover that seems like a perfect place for something to jump out? Then you can pretty much bet that a creature is going to emerge from the said spot. Navigation: My biggest complaint about the game is that there isn't any map or guide that remotely directs you toward the next objective. And with the secret rooms that are placed in the game that provide new weapons, it's easy to get turned around. I found myself backtracking and going in circles a few times. Mechanics: A few people have complained about the dodging and blocking mechanics of TCP. As long as you don't overthink it, these mechanics are really easy to master. Block, dodge, and use your gun to finish off the creature will be second nature to you in no time. Visuals: The visuals of this sci-fi horror really make you feel as if you're trapped in this prison. The steam escaping from pipes, obscuring your path, or sparks from ripped wires dripping down the side of a wall, all of them create an intense experience. And the gore visuals are honestly fun to watch. Each time I died, the death animations were something that I had never seen before, and I never got tired of watching. For their first game, Striking Distance does a solid job trying to replicate the essence of Dead Space (originally made by most of the same people). I look forward to their future games as long as they take note of where they fell short/
