About this product
Seelie Court - the world's premier tag for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents 'Dark Round The Edges', an album that captures a fleeting moment in British psychedelic history. Recorded at SIS Studios, Northampton, UK, between 9th and 13th July 1972, this was a project born from the urgency of a band on the verge of splitting. Only 64 copies were ever produced-14 in colour gatefold, 12 black-and-white gatefolds, and the rest in black-and-white single sleeves, each accompanied by lyric booklets. Originally sold for £3, these rare originals now fetch staggering sums, with black-and-white gatefolds reaching £11,000 and colour gatefolds as high as £31,000. The iconic InchGirl on the SetteeInch cover was not intended as the front shot; the original featured the band on a building site, though later reissues cemented the girl's image as synonymous with the album. A late addition, Martin joined just a month before recording, having met the band while supporting Status Quo at The Rock Club, Wellingborough, in May 1972. A truly legendary, ephemeral record. Album Tracks 1. Darkside 2. Maypole 3. Live for Today 4. RC8 5. The Cat 6. Zero Time

Los Angeles' Metal Church stand as one of the most innovative and unfortunately, one of the underappreciated heavy metal bands of the 1980's. And 'The Dark', their second album, is without any doubt, the masterpiece of their hard-driven air-guitar assault. Every track on this album, from the InchTon Of BricksInch attacking your ears at the beginning, to the incredible lament of InchWatch The Children PrayInch halfway through, right to the equally melodic and pounding InchBurial At SeaInch and InchWestern AllianceInch at the end, is a classic. David Wayne's vocals did a great job on 'The Dark', giving the album a no-nonsense metal consistency and quality. Album Tracks 1. Ton of Bricks 2. Start the Fire 3. Method to Your Madness 4. Watch the Children Play 5. Over My Dead Body 6. The Dark 7. Psycho 8. Line of Death 9. Burial at Sea 10. Western Alliance

Darkness isn't merely a theme for Downswing-it's the environment they've learned to endure. The Albany, New York outfit cultivates a heavy atmosphere and melodic depth, stripping away emotional armor and calloused defenses to reveal something raw and defiantly honest. The band's new album, And Everything Was Dark, serves as both a mission statement and a bold leap forward. Since 2016, Downswing has steadily evolved into a powerhouse of modern metal and groove. The group's current incarnation emphasizes big choruses, bigger breakdowns, atmosphere, and emotion. Downswing consists of Seanor, guitarist Anthony Salvaggio, bassist Chris Arnold, and drummer Nick Manzella. Created with a focus on clarity and impact, And Everything Was Dark builds on the sonic foundation of their earlier work while boldly venturing into new territory. Gargantuan riffs and breakdowns intertwine with massive hooks, textures, and lyrics that resonate deeper than ever before. InchFor What It's WorthInch is a bleak outburst of betrayal, confusion, and emotional fallout. InchToo Little Too LateInch and InchGlass HouseInch explore the record's central themes what it means to lose someone you love, the toll of addiction and selfdestruction, and the slow, painful process of letting go.Downswing isn't just evolving. They've arrived. Album Tracks 1. No God to Me 2. Emptiness Remains 3. Drowned Out 4. Thanks for Nothing 5. In a Daze 6. For What It's Worth 7. Stand By 8. Serpent 9. Letting Go 10. Too Little Too Late 11. Eternal
