Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Animals is the tenth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in January 1977. It is a concept album that provides a scathing critique of the social-political conditions of late-70s Britain, and presents a marked change in musical style from their earlier work. Animals was recorded at the band's studio, Britannia Row, in London, but it's production was punctuated by the early signs of discord that three years later would culminate in keyboardist Richard Wright leaving the band. The album's cover image, a pig floating between two chimneys of the Battersea Power Station, was conceived by the band's bassist and lead songwriter Roger Waters, and was designed by long-time collaborator Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis. The album reached #2 on the UK Albums Chart. It was also a success in the United States, reaching #3 on the US Billboard 200. Album Tracks 1. Pigs on the Wing 1 Pink Floyd 1 24 2. Dogs Pink Floyd 17 05 1. Pigs (Three Different Ones) Pink Floyd 11 25 2. Sheep Pink Floyd 10 19 3. Pigs on the Wing 2 Pink Floyd 1 26
