Back side of DVD case specs show CC symbol indicating the disk has Closed Captioning (subtitles for the hearing impaired). Tried on three different players and no luck. A closer look shows that the DVD is burned with only one audio track (English - no CC). See photos.

This is an amazing, realistic re-creation of the horrible events that occurred on bloody Sunday in April 2004, in Baghdad, Iraq. The series bring to life the memories of the US Soldiers who died and survived the difficult battle in Sadr City. The series shows how clever the militia were in drawing in a patrol into an ambush, in order to bait other US forces into a larger urban battle. Discipline and bravery kept the trapped units from being overrun, while the rescue forces had to battle layers of hostile forces to rescue them. The story of the one platoon sergeant’s experience in Kosovo was gut wrenching. That experience made him fatally realistic on the upcoming dangers, which helped save him and many of his Soldiers. What really makes the series outstanding, is that they include not only the family ordeals back home, but the dangers and threats that motivated the Iraqi interpreter to work with the Americans and help rebuild his country. The most humbling moment is listening to the story of the Iraqi family caught in the fighting and how they suffered under Saddam’s rule. This series does not glorify war, but accurately tells the story of the people who fight, civilians caught in middle trying to survive, and how they recover from their injuries months later.
