Some people dont believe we went to the moon, but still trust 100 different technologies developed by NASA. I'd recommend this film to them but they'd view it as fiction when this is actually what true heroism is.

Fantastic movie on the US Space Race and the early Apollo astronauts. Nice to have it on DVD as the original VHS was on two tapes! LOL

Old movie but is really accurate as to what happened. I love the cameo of the real Chuck Yeager.

This package was far beyond what I expected from hen I received it with a bunch of great extras.

When TRS was released in 1983, I saw Siskel and Ebert’s laudatory joint review and thought I’d like to see it, Then it tanked at the box office and I never had the chance. In 2020 I finally picked this up and watched it in 5.1 surround sound. Whoah! The subwoofer made me feel like I was breaking the sound barrier right along with Chuck Yeager! The characters are relatively one-note and some unfortunate liberties were taken with Tom Wolfe’s book, but the performances steal the show anyway and the flight sequences are imaginatively staged—incredibly convincing. If you have any interest at all in the history of aeronautics and space flight in the US, see it. And hear it! The 3-hour-plus runtime is a bit much, but the lovely transfer, the bombastic sound (an Oscar winner for it), and the thrill of flight carries it through.

If you haven't seen this, it is definitely worth buying!

When I saw this on Blu-ray I went crazy. The "Right Stuff" is a movie you must have in anyone's catalog. Watching all the young actors that went on to illustrious careers is great. This is how we went into outer space, caught up with the Russians and surpassed them. No one but the United States has landed a human being on the moon and returned home safely. These heroic boys started it all.

This is the perfect movie for anyone that wants to learn what the early days of space travel were like.... It's very entertaining and I would recommend this film to anyone with kids who want to be astronauts when they grow up.

I gave it 3 stars cuz of the movie itself is great however, the blue ray/re-mastered is still pretty grainy but this copy gave some great behind the scenes booklet

One of the great classic space movies that gives you the true story on how we got to space. This upgrade made the sound amazing picture quality is amazing and watching great actors of Hollywood.

This is one of the best American historical epics of all time, filled with amazing performances, incredible cinematography, and a stirring theme of triumph.

Beautiful display, extremely clear. Vibrant colors. Has made my photography business easier to sell when my clients see my work on this large display. My photo editing is much more enhanced. My favorite purchase this year!

Watching it once again after several decades, transported me to the time I first watched, and it comes with all the good memories. You also see young stars that were starting to shine. And helps to remember the competition between Soviets and Americans.

Despite its length, this film moves fast and there is never a dull moment. It perfectly captures the politics and the the culture of that era. A great film!

This is a great movie of the U. S. '50's and '60's test pilots and their evolution from pilots to astronauts. Largely based on real events, the movie focuses on the beginning of space exploration.

Not only was the casting done right (the BEST) but the historical accuracy was spot on! Loved all the extras that this 30th Anniversary edition included. This film picked up 4 Academy Awards for sound, score, editing and best sound effects!

The Right Stuff is one of my all time favorite movies. You get the movie and all kinds of extras and deleted scenes on two discs. I hope to get this in blu ray soon.

I remember the space program as a young child and to see it shown as it actually happened was great! I usually don't mind long films or factual films. This film is rather lengthy, but it is a good recording of the start of the space program.
