Ranging from pop-licious and cutesy-but-intricate electropop to bizarre funky hip hop and house beats-- the Troposcatter bring you beep music at it's finest. With synthpop songs about torrid dyke love affairs that take place in small towns you've never heard of to trip-hop homages to Chicago and Lake Michigan, the Troposcatter certainly exhibit a mastery of a wide range of subject matter and musical styles. Some describe songs on the album as being closer to IDM, while others say their house music influence is incredibly strong (this shines through in The Troposcatter's tribute to the Baltimore Club Music underground 'Baltimore (freeky deeky)' and the acid house stylings of 'Theme From The Troposcatter Dance.' The Troposcatter is actively recording at all hours of the day, I hear they don't sleep. 'Sleep is for the weak,' says Nikki, singer and synthesist, 'it's totally optional, you know?' Butter Flavored Halon is the band's first tag from a promising newcomer, Banazan Records. ----------------- About the Troposcatter The Troposcatter is Nikki, Josh, and some machines. Nikki is a New Jersey transplant living and breathing outside of Washington dc. She sings, synthesizes, programs and smokes for the Troposcatter. Nikki loves red soda and her favorite color is pink. Hudson Mohawke - Butter - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2009 . Many records claim to defy categorization - this one means it. Hudson Mohawk (AKA 22-year-old Glaswegian Ross Birchard) has always been ahead of the curve - making mix tapes age 10, putting beats together on his Playstation age 12 and winner of the UK DMC Championships age 14 (the youngest ever winner). The latest step in this process is Butter, 18 doses of melt-in-the-mouth R&B and breakneck beats with instant appeal. By enlisting a select crew of vocalists for the Butter sessions, Hud Mo has painted his own version of 21st Century smash hits. Album Tracks 1. Shower Melody 2. Gluetooth 3. Joy Fantastic 4. 3.30 5. The Octopus Project - Fever Forms - VINYL LP

Vinyl LP pressing. 2013 , the fifth studio album from Austin's favorite experimental Pop band. While it's immediate predecessor, 2010's Hexadecagon, was celebrated for its epic scope, cosmic departure and conceptual nature, Fever Forms is more akin to the band's best-selling Hello, Avalanche LP, with concentrated doses of frenetic beats and exuberant melody set in a brilliantly colored sound world. These twelve dense, ecstatic pop jams will astound and disorient. Album Tracks 1. The Falls 2. Pyramid Kosmos 3. Whitby 4. Death Graduates 5. The Mythical E.L.C 6. Unspool 7. Mmkit 8.
