Archer C59 AC1350 Wireless Dual Band Router Version 2 *My Test Setup Desktop PC Windows 10 Pro AC1900 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter (Archer T9E) *Setting Up Setting up the router for the first time is quite simple to do. Once you have everything properly connected, you’ll be online in less than 5 minutes. And when you’re ready to dig into the router’s more advanced settings to customize it to your liking, you’ll have plenty of options to dig into. You can set parental controls for certain users, as well as set up a Wi-Fi guest network for your guests, which keeps them off of your main network. Also, the router’s web management page is very nicely done, too. All the different settings are laid out perfectly and easy to navigate. *Ethernet & Wireless Performance After getting the Archer C59 router set up and running, I ran several speed tests while connected to the router over Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. Listed below is the current Internet plan I am subscribed to, and those speed test results. My Internet Plan: Download 75 Mbps / Upload 10 Mbps Ethernet Speed Test: Download 90.45 Mbps / Upload 12.15 Mbps Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz Speed Test: Download 89.22 Mbps / Upload 12.05 Mbps Wi-Fi 5 GHz Speed Test: Download 90.43 Mbps / Upload 12.18 Mbps Those are great test results! And the router was able to easily handle multiple devices connected at once, streaming HD content and surfing without any issues. I also have a very large backyard area, and the router provides excellent coverage around my entire home. I can stream HD videos and music without any issues at all. I had 3 mobile devices all doing just that, and they all streamed perfectly, whether inside or out around the yard. For the best wireless coverage, be sure to place the modem in an open area of your home free of obstruction. Do not place the modem in an enclosure, under a desk, or block the vent-holes. Best of luck setting your network up.

This router was quite easy to set up. I was up and running in about 15 minutes. I have security cameras that are about 150 feet from the router and they have no issues picking up the wireless signal. I was quite impressed with the range. I have Spectrum internet at 300 Mbps and the speed I am getting though the wifi is over 100 Mbps.

Needed an inexpensive wireless access point as the ISP supplied router didn't have enough bandwidth to support everyone. With the 2nd 5G radio things are nice and speedy.

Really nice, beam forming makes sure you have good signal any where in the home.

I bought this for my mother-in-law. Plenty of good signal and enough speed for her normal internet browsing and streaming. No complaint. Did not try for gaming yet.

This router is perfect; no need for anything any more expensive. Range is great, 5ghz wireless speed is well within the internet speed of about 150 Mbps.

Works well most of the time. I have had a few slip- ups with this one. For the most part; it has been reliable.

I bought this unit to replace a 5 year old Cisco unit which started to drop wifi signal more frequent than expected, I was tired of rebooting it. This unit was very easy to hook and has stronger signal strength for sure. I haven't had any issue since I bought it a month ago. Also, the main reasons I bought this was its great value and good reviews by others after reviewing several other comparable items.

I bought this to replace my 4 year old linksys e900 when it started dropping wifi signal and I had to restart it at lease once a day, very happy with the new one, strong wifi signal throughout the house. Only wish I bought AC1900 instead.
Got this router in special and it works great. I needed a router in my office to expand our network. This was very easy to set up with their app. Range is very good. For the price it a very good deal.
It does what I need with no problems. What more could I ask for.

The Archer C59 is a prime example of trickle-down technology. The wireless speed and features this router offers, for its price point, were unheard of not that long ago. Included in this router is a guest network which allows you to give wireless access to your guests without opening up your entire network thus preventing security issues. I also like to use the parental control features to control my child's usage of the Internet. Like most of TP-Link's offerings I have found this router to be a snap to setup and it has been rock-solid in stability, never once needing to be rebooted. The router also has a USB port to allow it to act as an FTP server, media server, network attached storage (NAS), and print server. One glaring omission (and the reason I only rated it 4 stars) is that this doesn't have gigabit ports. That may not matter to some, but in this day and age, in my opinion, all routers should be running at gigabit speeds. I suspect that the crowd this is aimed at probably will not need or miss this feature, however. If you do need gigabit Ethernet, I recommend looking at the Archer C5 as it is very close in price to the Archer C59 but offers gigabit Ethernet ports. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

I've lost signal after geek squad installed this, he connected it to my existing router. That could be Xfinity's fault. That only happened once. My internet speed was boosted so I hope this can handle it. Time will tell.
