The Master Heritage Series 11.75-inch Conga features a specially formulated 3-layer shell, with the two innermost layers made from Siam Oak and the outermost layer made from Russian Pine. Three steel bands surround the shell, providing added stability while accentuating the traditional appearance of the instrument. A unique finishing process strategically sears the Russian Pine to create a faux rustic, raw texture, with surface cracks and bird’s eye figuring prominently accentuated in the wood. The 30-inch-tall shell has a wide belly that creates rich, deep bass tones and pronounced slaps, while brushed chrome hoops, reinforced side plates, and 3/8-inch diameter tuning lugs provide the specified hardware configuration. A die-cast handle with color-matched hardware completes the construction. The conga is equipped with a genuine premium, hand-picked water buffalo skin head designed to produce rich, warm tones for a range of playing situations. Each drum includes a matching single basket stand, accessory pouch, tuning wrench, and lug lube for setup and maintenance.
