Just installed the U-line Ice Maker in my home. I didn't want to run out of ice. So far so good. The auto pump does run throughout the day, even if you haven't used any ice for the day. I was worried that the ice maker would be loud from the reviews but not any louder than my refrigerator ice maker. Overall: Good purchase

Ice maker was delivered as stated. Not problems. Directions for installations were a bit lacking information. After being installed it started as soon as it was plugged in, no problems snd has been making plenty of ice daily. The only noise is when it dumps ice, strange at first and now not noticed.

Makes a lot of ice but the ice melts very rapidly.

This machine makes excellent quality ice. It runs a little loud when water goes into machine but it is just a few seconds!

Had a Kitchenaid under counter ice maker that had to be repaired 3 times over the last two years. Decided that wasting any more money on it, I went to Best Buy and asked what they would recommend. This U-Line mode they recommended is the perfect replacement. Much larger ice capacity, filtered water for clear ice cubes and quieter. Very happy!

Love love this ice maker! The ice is very clear and my carbonated drinks don't fiz at all, the taste is amazingly very good with my lemonade, I can't even stand my regular ice from my fridge anymore.

DO NOT BUY. I'm writing this review because I wish it existed before I wasted my money on this horrible ice maker. This unit functioned for about 18 months before it broke down. When it was working, it was SO LOUD that the noise reverberated through the house. It wasn’t the ice dump that was loud, it was the ice production/freezing process, so the cacophony lasted for an hour or more and happened multiple times a day. However, this may just be a problem, in general, with “clear” ice makers. Lesson learned there. Anyway, turns out that my machine had a bad compressor that fouled up other parts before dying completely. In other words, it was a lemon. ABW and I reached out multiple times to U-Line to replace it or at least to cover the repair. They would cover the parts but refused to replace the unit or cover the labor…$1,000. When I asked them why they don’t stand behind their product I was told that “things wear out” and “that’s what warrantees are for”. When I asked to move up the chain to reach someone with the power to make an exception they said “no one would give me a different answer.” $3,000 for 18 months of use is not a reasonable cost to benefit ratio. Bottom line, U-Line doesn’t stand behind their product and refused to make it right

To say that this appliance is the biggest piece of GARBAGE I have ever purchased in my life is a wild understatement. We had it installed over 2 years ago. It has filled with ice ONCE. We had someone out to basically rebuild it because of one hose in the middle of the unit. Now if just stopped. I beg of you not to buy this.

We purchased our U-Line icemaker several years ago as part of a home renovation project. This was by far the greatest regret of the entire project ( and we ran into some major setbacks). We wanted an icemaker to complete our bar area and we heard high praise about U-Line products. But in hindsight, I can say that over the 4 years we have owned this machine, has it has produced ice for possibly 8 months. The machine worked well for the first 2 months but unexpectedly stopped working one day. Twice we have tried to repair the icemaker using technicians certified to work with U-Line products (and both provided excellent service). But the best result so far was an additional 4 months of functionality before the unit would stop producing ice cubes. We have now spent easily an additional $1000 in repair costs between between parts and labor. We tried very hard to stay optimistic. But this point, we have accepted that we spent $2000 (plus another $1000) on a glorified freezer that can keep the 20-lb bags of store-bought ice cold during our events we host. I wish this could be a positive testimonial to match the reputation that convinced us to buy this appliance. But if you are considering purchasing an icemaker, I would STRONGLY urge you to look elsewhere.

Product was great until it broke. Ice maker broke after 8 months and service center isn't getting a response from U-Line. When I call I get the run around. If it doesn't break it's probably great. If you have any issue I don't believe you can rely on their service or warranty department for assistance and you're out of luck.
