Trio X is one of Sweden's foremost improvisational groups. The trio's distinctive feature is exploratory and boundary-crossing music, and the experienced musicians find inspiration in many genres. Lennart Simonsson, Per V Johansson, and Joakim Ekberg started collaborating in 2002, and since then they have made several recordings, worked with numerous well-known artists, and toured in Sweden and abroad. Trio X is a multi-faceted ensemble that works with many projects, from concerts in jazz clubs, in concert halls, and at major festivals to classroom appearances. Alongside their public concerts, they also play in healthcare and caring institutions. The musicians also teach and provide inspiration for amateur groups. The present album is a showcase of traditional Swedish melodies. Album Tracks 1. Elsas Brudmarsch 2. Jag Vet en Dejlig Rosa 3. Dalvisa 4. Toktrall 5. Allt Under Himmelens Fäste 6. Glaschu is the new studio album from urban Gael, now highland resident, Mary Ann Kennedy. Dedicated to Glasgow, the album features songs and poetry celebrating life in Glasgow from the past and present. Mary Ann's debut solo album, 'An Dàn', confirmed her place as a composer and songwriter as well as performer, released on ARC to critical acclaim in July 2017. She writes InchI grew up in the southside of Glasgow, in a city rich in languages and cultures, and as part of Scottish Gaels' biggest urban diaspora. It was something of a strange and wonderful upbringing for me and my sister, feeling part of a big community but at the same time- in terms of peers at least- sometimes feeling like the only Gaels in the village. Things change, and it's a joy to see today at the bottom of the street where I grew up, one of Glasgow's three Gaelic schools. You can take the girl out of Glasgow, but never Glasgow out of the girl, and in the spirit of Gaels' eternal need to sing about home, this is my Gaelic love-song for the city in all it's guises- the voices of arrivals in search of a new life and of those, like me, born and bred there with Gaelic as our first language.Inch Album Tracks 1. 2014 two CD collection containing 50 slabs of tear-stained wax; evocations of teen angst couched in the simple poetry of raw emotion. 37 of the sides make their debut here. This set concentrates on the Doo Wop that tag head Ray Dobard recorded from 1950 onwards.Frank Zappa described the Doo Wop on Cruisin' with Ruben & the Jets as 'greasy love songs of cretin simplicity' and he could almost be talking about the songs we present here. Extremely rare - these singles would set you back a lot of money - if you could find them offered for sale. This is a treasure trove for Doo Wop collectors - you might recognize a few of the artists' names, but they are probably not who you think they are. Album Tracks 1. Lucille - the Pagans 2.
