Working predominantly from a studio set up in her Edinburgh home, the record was slowly pieced together, and reveals an artist at her peak, capturing her songs within fluid settings that masterfully marry content and form. Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition of this 1976 album from the Finnish pianist, composer and conductor. Olli Ahvenlahti has been one of Finland's leading Jazz artists since the '70s. The groove of the '70s dancefloor Jazz made an impact on the Finnish Jazz scene and the track 'Grandma's Rocking Chair' (included on THE POET) is viewed as a highlight of that era. Featured on the original pressing in 1976, the track was picked up by legendary US House producer Kenny Dope when he sampled the track for his record 'The Illout'. In the summer and fall of 1967, while he was recuperating from his motorcycle accident in Woodstock, Dylan regularly got together with members of his 1966 backing group (who would become known as The Band) for informal sessions of traditional folk songs, bluegrass, country and blues as well as a series of eclectic originals. Luckily for everyone, the musicians left a tape recorder running much of the time. The tapes fell into the hands of collectors and were widely circulated and bootlegged. In 1975, Columbia Records officially assembled twenty-four of the performances on a two-disc set known as the Basement Tapes. The songs hold a unique and precious place in Dylan's work.
