My 6 year old granddaughter had been asking for a cell phone so she could be like everyone else in the family. I had considered getting her one to keep in touch with her, but my daughter and I saw this one at Best Buy. To say this was the perfect first cell phone is an understatement. She is able to send voice messages and text with this phone. I set up who she could contact and she has thoroughly enjoyed it as have our family members. It is also very nice because it helps her with her spelling, she enjoys listening to music, playing games, listening or reading books, take pictures or videos, etc. This is a definite winner!

The vtech phone is great for younger kids. My daughter is able to text over the kidiconnect to family and friends. It can only be used over wifi which is a nice feature. The learning games are great also.

This item was purchased for a Christmas present for our granddaughter; however, it is much larger and more advanced than previously thought. We have decided to save it for our grandson's 6th birthday. I am sure he will love it, and I am happy that I can program specific numbers for him to call in case of emergency.

This is the best gift I could get for my son. It is not a real phone but it is great for games and you can chat with your child through the app. It is an awesome item to purchase for children ages 3 to 9. The only problem I did have is the sound did not work but Vtech is sending another item to me.

I bought this for my grandson and he loves it when it is working. When it was a year old, it froze while doing an update. Nobody could get it off the blank screen. It was out of warranty, so I decided to remove the back. The battery is not removable, so I disconnected it and forced a hard reset. This did the trick and it restarted and completed the update. He has been using it again, but be aware that it takes quite a while to charge the battery.

My son wanted a phone for his 6th birthday. I had no intentions of buying him an actual phone with a plan as he has no one to call except parents or grandparents. This is a fun alternative and allows him to send voice and text messages through an app that I have on my phone. He is pleased with it, at least for awhile!

I bought the V-Tec phone for my granddaughter and she loves it. I bought it so we could FaceTime. It’s the perfect size for her little hands!!

Helps entertain and teach my little girl. She learns and doesn't know it, lol.

I gave this to my 5 year old grandson for his birthday. The first thing he did was take pictures of everyone at the party! then all the presents and then the cake. Seems to be easy for him to use and take care of.

I put this in my grandson's Easter Basket. He told me .. He loves the Easter bunny, Now he can send me messages.. lol.

Let's the little ones send pictures and messages (10 second maximum) to approved contacts. The contacts have to install the app in order to send and receive messages. Its neat for a younger child that hasn't discovered facetime yet. My 5 year old got this as a gift, and I think she's a little to old for it.

this is ok, better for little kids around 2-3 ish. the screen quality could be a little brighter.

The kids love it!!! Looks like a cell phone. Has several different features that make them think it's a real cell phone. Games and apps on make it interesting.

I am impressed as how well it works with my child, especially the parent controls which control how much time they can spend playing with the electronic game toy and also the fact that we can text each other and the features of being able to send not only messages but pictures. I am well pleased.

The phone has amazing apps. Is super fun. Kids just love them.

This was a perfect gift for my young child. They had been wanting a real phone for the longest time but still a little too young. This was a perfect replacement until they are just a bit older. The set up did take some time but now there are no issues!
