Louie Belogenis, Trevor Dunn, Ryan Sawyer / Remaining true to the alchemical beginner's mind, Terton is a band that places exploration and improvisation first and foremost. Featuring saxophonist Louie Belogenis, bassist Trevor Dunn, and drummer Ryan Sawyer, the music pushes the envelope of free jazz and points in many directions at once. In Tibetan Buddhism, a terton uncovers and reveals esoteric spiritual teachings currently unknown and unpracticed. Like the teachings referred to, the music here are similar treasures-a music deeply buried within the human psyche waiting for an opportune time to appear. Louie, Trevor and Ryan mine this hidden terrain with great honesty, imagination, and craft. Album Tracks 1. Outer 2. Unconditioned 3. Foretold 4. Arising 5. Unfolding 6. Transmute 7. Inner 8. Embody 9. Secret 10. Dissolving
Pennsylvania hardcore legends Wisdom in Chains get nostalgic with a 20 year anniversary edition of what is considered to be the bands official debut album. Using the majority of the art contained on the original CD from 2005, with grayscale ghost theme and industry favorite liner notes explaining the impact of the album, every track from Die Young sounds as fresh and electrified as it did two decades ago - ultimately reminding us why and how WIC wrote a new chapter hardcore and continue to do so. * Features Ultra HQ heavyweight audiophile style packaging.
