I purchased this product when it was on-sale giving me 60$ discount. It was made in China and cheaper than those made in Japan. No tractable power cord, yet that is not a problem for me, nor is its plastic outer shell, adequate number of functions for everyday cooking. Despite not a high-end among the entire products, it is simple but good enough.

I LOVE this rice cooker! We’ve always had the Tiger brand and it never last us long and the rice tends to smell after. Zojirushi, you can really taste the difference of how the rice is cooked. Easy to use and it’s so cool that it plays music for you. I hope that it will last me a long time like what other people is saying about it.

They do what they are for. Takes time to cook the rice but so far as long as you do the right measurements of water and rice the way it cooks is good

This is a huge step up from the normal style rice cookers. The rice takes longer to cook, but it comes out absolutely perfect. Also, it stays fresh on the warm setting for days. I wasn't sure this was worth the price difference, but it's worth every penny.

I use this weekly to make brown rice. I always wash the rice first and follow the recommended measurements and the rice is perfect every time!

When choosing a rice cooker, first it must be made in Japan, at least for me. I have used others and know there is a difference. Zojirushi is a trusted brand and lasts a very long time. You have to own one to really understand why many Japanese families own this brand.
