Move over AirPods, Zolo's Liberty is here to stay.
As someone who is fairly active (running, hiking, gardening, camping, fishing, etc.) I've long searched for a Bluetooth earbud option. I've tried many different brands, but I've finally found what I was looking for in the Zolo's Liberty. This is my first Zolo product and I must say, I was very impressed with the packaging. It's clear that Zolo takes a lot of pride in their product if they put so much effort into the packaging. It felt like a very premium product from the get-go. Unpackaging the product was simple, as it was frustration free packaging, which is always a plus in my book. Setup was super simple. The entire process took me a minute or two and I was off and going. Please note, Zolo clearly states you should FULLY charge the case and earbuds PRIOR to using. With previous earbuds, I've never been able to find a pair that stays in my ear after getting sweaty. With these being truly wireless, I was nervous about them falling out, but I was very pleasantly surprised I've had ZERO issues. This is the biggest plus, for me, with the Liberty's. Moreover, Zolo included a number of different jackets and tips that you can use to find your perfect fit. Pairing the device is very simple. Take the buds out of the charging case, press the button and you are on your way. The sound quality is amazing. The lows, mids and highs are all excellent. Zolo packed a very solid bass into these earbuds, which impressive considering how small they are. Zolo advertises this as their Graphene- Enhanced Sound and it works very well. One thing I wasn't expecting is how well these block out noise. I have some expensive Bose QuietComfort headphones and while these aren't nearly as good as those, they do a great job none-the-less. Zolo doesn't really advertise this as a feature on this product, but my wife and daughter have certainly noticed it! ;) Zolo advertises the earbuds to last for about 3.5 hours, which is about right. If you are looking for a longer charge, check out the Liberty +. The charging case, however, last for 24 hours on a single charge. So that is plenty for me. Other features that are nice and worth noting are they are sweat proof, they have simple controls to play music, take a phone call, talk to Siri/Alexa, etc. and they are backed by Zolo's warranty 12-month warranty. Finally, Zolo includes a bright yellow (Zolo's color scheme) micro USB charging cord for the case. Yellow might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it as a change to the standard boring black/white. A few small things that Zolo may want to consider on future updates. First, the earbuds have to be placed just right in the charging case in order to charge. I learned this the hard way, but haven't made the mistake again. Also, the buttons on the earbuds are almost too big/sensitive. It's easy to accidentally hit the button when adjusting the earbuds. In my opinion, these are very minor complaints in the grand scheme of things and don't affect my overall rating. If this review changes in the future, I will make sure to update it. But, as for now, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these if you are considering them. They are easy to use, provide great sound quality, backed by a very reputable company (who will make sure you are happy with their product), all for a very fair price.

Truly wireless! Works reliable most of the time
The best thing about this headphones is obviously that they’re TRULY WIRELESS! It’s a great feature! As some say... once you go wireless... you can’t come back. They have Bluetooth 4.2 technology, so you could expect them to work reliably with any compatible device. It’s super easy to pair them! Just with a single button press you’re ready to go. You will also not miss your regular controls, this pair includes Headset controls to control your music and even a microphone to answer calls. This headphones are perfect for any type of workout, since there are no wires to bother you in your workouts and are sweat resistant, so there’s no need to worry about that. I also use them for casual listening and even some videos. The only problems I’ve had with this headphones is that sometimes one earbud stops playing music, and it has a bit of lag in videos sometimes as well, to fix both things, just re pair them. The sound quality is great! There are not meant for audiophiles I have to say, but for a truly wireless Bluetooth headphones they have great sound quality, i can’t complain about that. This is thanks to the graphene-coated drivers which helps to produce precision oscillation for superior sound across the entire frequency range. They also fit great in my ears, they have an in-ear design that helps them to fit securely and deliver music directly into your ears. You’ll also get different size tips and grip jackets (that’s how Zolo calls them) so they can adjust to your ear size. You’ll get around 3 and a half hours of battery life in a single charge, but you can easily recharge them with the included charging case to boost up the battery life for up to 24 hours! That’s insane! I only need to charge them every two weeks and I use them almost daily! They come in a really nice and premium packaging, and you’ll get it the box 4 x GripFit Jackets, 3 x EarTips, the super Charging case, one Micro-USB cable for charging the case and your Zolo Liberty True Wireless In-Ear Headphones. After reviewing all those aspects of this headphones, they work reliably and are great for my workout sessions and even casual listening, i haven’t got any serious issue with this headphones whatsoever, I can say I highly recommend them.

Amazing Totally Wireless Earphones
Zolo Liberty True Wireless In-Ear Earphones are amazing. I have been testing them for a few days now. Here are my observations. It comes in a very nice yellow/white box. Inside you will get the earphones, charging case, 3x eartips, 4x gripfit jackets and a microusb cable. It also has a happy/not happy card, safety card and owners manual. Specs: Drivers: 2 x 5.5mm Graphene Dynamic Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz Audio Codec: AAC, SBC Bluetooth Ver: 4.2 Microphone: MEMS with CVC noise reduction (on right earphone only) Battery: 3.5 hrs for earbuds, 24 hrs for case Sweat Proof: IPX5 Power: 5V/1.5A Getting started instructions are very clear and it took me less than 30 sec to pair it with my iPhone. Put the earphones back to charging case and it disconnects. Take it out and it reconnects. Earphones attach magnetically in the charging case which is awesome. It came at 80% charged. Charging case has a microusb port (covered) for charging. It has 3 led indicators in the front to show the battery status. When you move the case the led lights up and shows the charge status of the case. When the earphones are in the case they charge automatically (indicated by slowly blinking white led). Earphones are rated to run for 3.5 hrs on full charge. Case can keep it charged for full 24 hrs. Fit and Feel is amazing. I also have airpods and they are very slippery and have tendency to fall while handling. I have no such complaints with Liberty. They have gripfit jacket on them and it is great while handling/using. No more slipping of the earphones. Now the most important aspect - "Sound" Out of box these sounds amazing. Bass is very much there and is very enjoyable. Even though they are not noise cancelling but since they are in-ear type, they do cancel almost all outside sounds and i can play my music at much lower volumes. I'm hearing subtle sounds in my music which I didn't knew existed. Left/right earphone balance is perfect. On both sides there is a big button on the earphone which is clickable. Single click play/pause the music (either earphone). Right earphone only works for taking phone calls. Double clicking right earphone activates Siri. Double clicking right skips track, while double clicking left restart the track. There is no volume control. Volume can be controlled from phone or via Siri. If you use only one earphone (left or right) and then want to pair the other one, just click the button on it and it automatically connects. This is really cool feature. One feature which I wish was there is automatic pause when you remove the earphone from ear (which is in Airpods). Liberty do not have this feature. You don't need any app to use the earphone (which is awesome). Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase and I'm really enjoying the great sound and freedom from wires.

Solid True-Wireless Earbuds
With the removal of the headphone jack on a lot of phones people are looking for better bluetooth devices than we’ve had over the past several years. One of the things people are looking for are simple, easy to use truly-wireless earbuds with no cables at all to fuss about. This is why the Apple AirPods are so popular. Anker has an interesting offering into this field with the Zolo Liberty earbuds. PAIRING AND EASE OF USE The Liberty, while not as seamless as the AirPods if you’re using an iPhone are pretty easy to set-up and use. Like all other bluetooth devices you pair it in your bluetooth settings. The Liberty handles pairing a lot better than many truly-wireless options where you have to pair each earbud separately; the Liberty pairs as one profile and the communication between the two earbuds is handled on its own. Use of the earbuds are convenient as well, they will automatically turn on and pair to your device right out of the case after they have been paired. No manually re-pairing or turning them on every time. If things do get out of sync or they do not connect automatically, you can always press the button on the earbud and it will turn on. Also, you can manually turn them off outside of the case simply by holding down the button on both earbuds. You can pause with either earbud and skip/restart tracks using the buttons as well. All instructions are outlined in detail in the included paperwork. SOUND QUALITY The technology that is being used in the earbuds is really great, but the use of graphene and the way the antennae are made drives up cost and sacrifices have to be made. Sound quality is one of those sacrifices. Undoubtedly, these in-ear earbuds sound much better than the AirPods even though the AirPods cost twice as much when the Liberty are at their sale price of $79.99. But for $80, you can get much better sounding earbuds for the same price, but you lose the truly-wireless feature and will have to fuss with wires connecting the two earbuds. You have to decide how important that is to you. In regard to sound, the bass is good, the mids are OK and the highs are fair. Volume is alright, but I could wish they got louder. I have no doubt that if you buy these, you will enjoy the sound they produce. These are not audiophile headphones, but they will serve their purpose well, and that is to give you freedom and convenience which they deliver and then some. I’d give these a B+ as far as sound goes. SUMMARY It’s said of Cameras, “the best camera is the one you have on you,” and perhaps the same is true of earbuds. These are good ones to have on you and they are really convenient! I can definitely recommend these to someone with truly-wireless earbuds in mind, but if someone was not so deadset on them, I would recommend something like the Anker SoundBuds Life, Soundcore Spirit line of earbuds, or even the upgraded version of these the Liberty+. One thing that was not mentioned, the battery life and fit on these earbuds are great, as great as it is on the more expensive Liberty+. You get several gripfit jackets and eartips to get a secure fit. You also get 3.5hours of music with a single charge and a charging/carrying case that extends the listening time to 24 hours. Talk about convenience! One added bonus to all of this, Anker is a great company that stands by their product and will always be helpful in resolving whatever issues you have with the device. With that peace of mind and with a decent product, why not? Enjoy! :)

Great Frequency Response
Whenever I get a new pair of headphones or earphones, I first test the audio quality subjectively like anyone else, by just listening to the music and video I usually do. These sound great across several of the different genres and styles of music I listen to, ranging from rock to indie to EDM. Then, I do a bit more of an objective test, using the The Ultimate Headphones Test @ AudioCheck.net - my favorite test there is the Binaural Test simply due to how insanely realistic it sounds when you're listening on a quality device, and I'm happy to say that this is the case here with the Zolo Liberty. Another few things worth noting: - SIMPLE TO USE // pull them out of the case and they turn on and reconnect to the last paired device you used them with, put them back in and they turn off and start charging - GREAT NOISE ISOLATION // as you can see in the pictures, several extra ear tips are included so after you find the one that fits your ear perfectly these headphones provide solid noise isolation, one of the best I've experienced in earphones or headphones without needing additional battery for electrical noise cancellation - SEAMLESS CHARGING // the case that comes with these is both a battery and a charger for the headphones, and has magnets on both the charging contacts and the lid for a seamless experience - SOLID BATTERY LIFE // the headphones by themselves get pretty solid battery life given their tiny size (3.5hr), but when you take in to account that the charging case is likely always going to come with you, these headphones are amazing for both daily use and travel since whenever you're not using them, you'll be passively charging them since they'll be in their case Overall, this is a great product and I'd definitely recommend it if you want super light and small earphones, even if you're not specifically looking for the kind that are separate like these. Check the pictures for size comparison to a standard lighter.
