Jesse Walsh and his family have moved into Nancy Thompson's old house on Elm Street. No sooner are they moved in than Jesse begins to have horrific nightmares - ones that feature a burned man in a dirty red & green sweater, with knives on the fingers of his right hand. His neighbor & new sweetheart, Lisa, discovers the truth behind Fred Krueger and his horrible murder spree. Freddy vows to take over Jesse's body to continue his vile crimes against the Elm Street residents. Soon, people close to Jesse start dying violently. Will Lisa's love for Jesse be enough to help him overpower the demonic presence inside him?

Although many fans of the Nightmare series dissaprove of the second installment, I believe it is the strongest of the entire series. The biggest problem that many fans of the series have about this one is that Freddy is taken out of the dream landscape and brought into the 'real' world. I think that not only is this my favorite Nightmare film, but also one of my favorite horror films of all time. The movie is so entertaining that the 90 minutes or so just flows so smoothly like the blood that Freddy sheds. The best thing about this movie is the plot by far, and not too many horror movies provide such a great plot, characters, and gore!

This was a decent sequel, but this is also where Freddy started talking a lot and being somewhat comedic. That too me was when the movies became less scary. Still very fun too watch though.

This movie is a classic! The film is good old fashion Freddy fun.

Not as great as the first Elm Street, maybe because Freddy has more line, but yet this is a good scary movie.
