Excellent movie
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone interested in family relationships or any relationship with another person. Shows the effort one puts into their journey in life.

excellent movie
What a great story-bought the dvd and watched it twice again. Highly recommend it. It was nice to watch a movie that relied on the story and not the special effects.

Best Movie of 2012
The only thing bad about this movie was the marketing. This movie should have been a box office hit, instead it is relatively unknown. I went to the movie with my wife having no expectation of anything great. A father son story with real life father son actors of Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. Written and produced by Emilio Estevez. I didn't know much about Emilio other than "The Mighty Ducks" but we decided to go. My wife and I have really different tastes in movies I can't remember the last time we watched a movie that we both enjoyed, we both loved this movie. For me it was the writing, the interesting characters and their interplay with each other and also it reminded me of a trip I had taken to Europe because you really get the feel of being there. The cinematography of real country side was amazing as well. And I have to also mention the acting; Martin Sheen deserved an Academy Award. Last night the family watched Hugo. I'm guessing this was a picture you had to see in 3-D. Today we bought our copy of The Way DVD. I'm not a DVD fan. There are not too many movies I'd watch more than once and few more than twice. Typically the only movies I watch more than twice are action adventure, Sci-Fi and comedies. This would include Iron Man, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Galaxy Quest. There is only one other recent character study I remember that I've wanted to watch more than twice and that's Finding Forrester. I'd have to rate "The Way" as equal to, or better than "Finding Forrester".
