An entertaining and thoughtful season
This 3rd season continues to entertain and present important issues. There is a soap opera component to the series with love triangles and greedy people wanting more money and power. That component definitely entertains. But there is also a serious look at some serious political and legal issues -- corruption in public office and in the court room and winning in those settings at the expense of fairness.

In its 3rd year, still intriguing and fresh.
Season 3 of The Good Wife has a few new characters to liven things up. It always has quirky Judges and opposing lawyers with interesting personalities. The 'good wife," Alyesha(sp), is not divorced from her husband, but not living together and feeling guilty about having a good time (mostly feeling she's neglecting her children, not guilty about her spouse). Her mother-in-law is really causing her some heartburn this season, but has a decline in health temporarily. Cary has been at the State Attorney's office most of the season. The named partner in the firm, Will, gets caught mishandling money and has to go through a Grand Jury hearig. We learn that Kalinda, the firm's awesome Investigator, has a husband at the end of the season, but we don't see him yet! that's for Season 4. And yes, Kalinda is still wearing cool clothes and boots. Diane, the other named partner of the firm, gets a 2nd beau, wow! will that go anywhere? have to find out in Season 4, I guess. She wears really cool clothes too. The sets are beautiful (the apartments and the law office, and the festivities they attend). I wish it would show more of Chicago, the city where it's supposed to take place. But it certainly has an intriguing arc throughout the season, as so many characters are developing and we learn more about them.

love this show!
I love the Good Wife. When I originally saw the previews I questioned it. After a few episodes I was hookes. There is so much more to the story than meets the eye and this season throws some curve balls.

Very good show
Had watched the last two seasons off and on while my wife was watching, so wanted to go back and start from the beginning. DVDs were on sale, great price. Good acting, good storyline.

This seasons closes the gaps for me!
I started watching the show during the 3rd season, watching from the beginning helped me to understand some character dynamics. It all gets tied together now!
