Now everyone from video editors to 3D animators, to musicians and software developers can turn big ideas into amazing work like never before. iMac Pro is powered by an Intel Xeon W processor with 8 cores for incredible performance. Its Radeon Pro Vega graphics chip lets you build and render amazingly lifelike special effects and VR worlds. And with up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of flash storage, saving and loading projects happen almost instantly.
Q: I will be blogging a lot does and I am starting my own business? is this a good starter?
A: The iMac Pro is overkill for a blogging business. Unless you are creating/editing heavy video and photo content, save the money and get an iMac but not the Pro. Those machines are more than sufficient for posting content and editing blog sites.
Q: Can this play World of Warcraft on ultra high graphics/settings along with other games?
A: Yes, this iMac Pro can easily play WOW at the highest settings. I have played the latest Call of Duty bought on the Mac Store at the highest settings with no problems. Also, this machine can be upgraded in the future when more powerful graphics cards come out by buying an external GPU enclosure (eGPU) and attaching to one of the thunderbolt 3 ports. For best performance of games see if the game has been ported to Apple's Metal api.
A: This is the best MAC available today for 4K editing using Apple's Final Cut Pro X editing software. This MAC can be beefed up with extra memory, a faster graphics card, and a chip with more cores but this adds appreciably to the cost. The standard IMAC Pro will work well for 4K editing if you use external memory for your projects, and reserve the internal SSD drive just for your operating system and applications. Apple will be introducing a new MAC Pro tower next year aimed at the professional video editing market and it will be very fast, have lots of memory, and will be very pricey. You can go to a custom Windows tower for about the same price as the MAC and you would likely use the Adobe editing software with this. I personally prefer the reliability and simplicity of the Apple OS and Final Cut Pro X, and Apples optional customer service support.
