    Fine machine, but some issues

Overall, I believe that we will be happy with our Bosch 300 series dishwasher. It will take some adjusting to get used to the rack setup. We do like the shallow, uppermost rack. The middle rack for glasses does not accommodate wider glasses well. The side parts of the rack are quite narrow, and in the middle it is too loose to support the cups. The slots for plates are so tightly put together that we have to just use every other slot. We did not receive a paper manual, since the company is being "green". That is fine, but we found it challenging to get it. The Bosch website indicated that the Model number would show on the top lip of the door. It was not there. Eventually, we found out if was on the right side of the door (very hard to reach since it was tightly in the corner (see photo). I could only find it by sliding my iPhone in a narrow crack and shooting random photos until I captured the image. At that point the person at Bosch guided us through being able to download the manual. "Finish" detergent and drying agent were recommended and samples were given. Dishes came out nice and clean, but were heavily perfumed, to the degree that it affected the taste of food or drink used with the clean dishes/glasses. Who needs perfumed dishes!?!

Bosch dishwasher is a quality dishwasher.

Reviewed this dishwasher before buying and we love it. Easy to load, cleans dishes on the 60 minute cycle and looks great in the kitchen.

This machine will DESTROY your plastics...

I've run this Series 300 dishwasher 3 times now. I researched Drying Options prior to buying. This model featured the "Pure Dry" described as follows: ..."With PureDry® drying technology, moisture is gently whisked away from dishes as they cool..." First 2 Cycles I used were: -SPEED 60- -AUTO- ( Both with EXTRA DRY Option OFF ) Both cycles DESTROYED my plastics, and chipped paint off thermos bottles. ( Items that I had been washing for years in my old Bosch, without this problem. ) I called Bosch Customer Service to see if there was a way to minimize the Heat on this machine. They said I could not wash plastics and enameled items in this machine. :( What a disaster. So I decided to experiment with the different Cycles & Options, that are best explored in the Bosch " Home Connect "APP. [ Trying to get these Settings on the machine's front panel requires such a convoluted sequencing of buttons and timing... honestly I gave up, and resorted to downloading the APP on a WiFi tablet I have at home ] After experimenting with the different Options & Cycles, here is the one that I have had the best results for my plastics, thermos bottles, etc : < Through the APP > Programme Assistant : ∆ WINE GLASSES Dirtyness Level: ∆ LIGHT Priorities: ∆ CLEANLINESS ----- The above combo will wash in the "DELICATE with ECO" mode. Cycle Water Temperature is 113⁰, and Drying is at a 1½ of 3 level. So far so good. Everything comes out squeaky clean. I do not need nuclear fission heat levels to wash & dry my dishes. I am happy with my Dishwasher now. I hope Bosch reads this review, and uses it to help others that are about to return the machine to the store... When I started this review I was going to give it 1 Star...but once I got the Cycle + Option figured out, the machine cleans & performs at a 5. ( Would have liked to upload pictures, but website keeps failing to upload )
