Not great but its an entertaining movie
Not great but its an entertaining movie
|Posted .Its not perfect but at least delivers what it promises (gore, comedy and fun). Elijah Wood and Alison Pill are very good in their performances but the best part is Rainn Wilson by far. If you like the genre of zombies or infected give this movie a chance.

Cool Zombie flick, similar style as Zombieland
Cool Zombie flick, similar style as Zombieland
|Posted .A pretty funny zom-com much like Zombieland, with crass humor and outrageously inept subject matter. *SPOILERS* Mainly that our lovable zombie horde this time, are children that have fallen ill after consuming an infected batch of chicken nuggets. *END SPOILERS* As implausible as this situation could ever be, the dynamics of poking humor at it were achieved quite well, which leads to some gory and very impractical methods of staving off the zombie horde. The movie never quite becomes frightful at any moment, but if one purchases the Bluray or DVD, there are a couple of deleted scenes, particularly with original and alternate endings that "echo" the mood from the nostalgic & creepy conclusion of NOTLD. I enjoyed the film although I did find it a notch below Zombieland, but still a recommended view for zombie enthusiasts, horror movie buffs, or even fellow fans of the Walking Dead series. 4 Stars

Fun horror comedy
Fun horror comedy
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI heard a lot of negative things about this movie, so I went into it with low expectations. This movie far exceeded the low expectations I had set! It's hilarious. It has a perfect balance of comedy and gore, and is very entertaining. Elijah Wood has become one of my favorite horror actors lately!

|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendReally a fun funny take on the Horror genre. Yet, despite being a spoof, it does hold up as a typical B-Movie Horror story. Certainly worth watching as a fun evening at the movies. I do recommend this movie, highly recommend it, but keep expectation realistic.

Fun little entry into the zombie genre
Fun little entry into the zombie genre
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendKnew a bit about this film before I purchased it. One of my friends was the DP...so I knew it would look good. The cast is comprised of comedic actors so I knew they'd translate the humor of the script well. Leigh Whannell, co-creator of Saw and Insidious, co-wrote it so I knew the horrific elements of the script would suit my horror needs. With all that said, I was surprised how much I laughed during this film. It's kinda reminiscent of another Elijah Wood film, The Faculty. However for Wood the shoe is on the other foot and the students are trying to eat him. If that sounds like a flick you'd enjoy, pick this up.

|Posted .This is a good recent movie that you may have missed in theaters, but it's worth seeing especially for fans of horror/comedy mixes. Good story and characters, and pretty good effects without being completely over-the-top.

|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendA great horror comedy that has relevant social commentary on entitled Millennials of today, and the value we place on our educators. It pulls no punches, but is worth the wild ride.
