    Good reliable quality

Testing the Insignia Black PLA+ was a great opportunity to see if the "plus" formulation actually justifies the five-dollar price premium over their standard line. While this extra margin pushes it slightly out of the ultra-budget tier, it proved to be a highly capable performer on the Bambu Lab P2S and managed to handle daily printing tasks with ease. Running the default Generic PLA profile in Bambu Studio with absolutely zero manual tuning yielded a finished surface quality that was slightly cleaner and more consistent than standard PLA, though the visual improvement is admittedly a subtle one. The real standout feature of this material is its impressive bridging performance; it handles steep overhangs and wide gaps without any supports remarkably well, leaving clean, tight spans with virtually no sagging or drooping on the underside of the print. Additionally, the finished parts exhibit a nice touch of physical flexibility instead of being completely stiff, giving functional models a much sturdier feel in the hand and a higher resistance to shattering under pressure. For anyone needing a tough black filament that masters difficult geometry and behaves significantly better under mechanical stress, the slight upgrade over the standard version is highly noticeable in the final product.

    Great price, print in savings

PLA-Plus is very similar in nature to standard PLA, with improved characteristics to aide in overcoming limiting factors to PLA. This is a stronger durability while being more heat-resistant. Knowing this, found the prints to come out cleaner on the surface of very detailed prints; dragon and special detail-oriented prints. Typically, these colors are brighter while be less prominent to shrinkage. Using this to print out some of the clamps we use to hold cables and boards together proved its durability to other filaments used at a higher cost. Definitely worth a switch to cut your printing costs down. I did try printing outside of the Bamboo standard settings to see if there were any changes and while most other options worked, there were some issues to note. I did find the profiles of Polymaker worked just as well as the Bamboo profiles in printing. This worked great in test prints for clips to hold filament in place when having to chnage spools to another filament format to meet printing needs.

    PLA+ filament

Works as intended, seems to print just as well as other filaments I’ve gotten. Prints nicer than the micro-center stuff I’ve gotten in the past!

    Amazing!

I was skeptical when I saw Best Buy released their own filament, but I love it! I have a Bamboo P1S and it printed like a charm. The filament didn't need to be dried and spooled perfectly. I looked up the company that manufactures it and I see why I like it so much. Highly recommend.
