While in Afghanistan, trauma surgeon Jacob Singer (Michael Ealy) learns the tragic fate that beset his brother, Isaac (Jesse Williams), in the battlefield. After returning home and settling down with his wife (Nicole Beharie) and newborn child, dreadful hallucinations start to haunt his everyday life. One day, fellow veteran Paul gives him a warning, but before he can explain, he meets a grisly fate. As more unsettling events take place, Jacob starts to believe that his brother did not die in Afghanistan. This 2019 remake of the 1990 film is directed by David M. Rosenthal.
