Answered by GE AnswersFor model GGS500SVSS, 30 inches width is all that is required unless it is an island installation. For island installation, maintain 2 1/2" minimum from cutout to back edge of countertop and 3" minimum from cutout to side edges of countertop.

Answered by GE AnswersThe outside grate widths are approximately 10", so a 12.5" diameter pan centered over the burner will overlap the griddle. You do have the option to separately purchase JXGRATE2 which would replace the griddle and solve the issue.
