Happy life in spite of parents?
This is my third copy of this movie. I grew up with a library as my best friend and as a key to the wide world beyond. I never tire of seeing the nasty adults get their comeuppance. And, Miss Honey is the third grade teacher who encouraged me...

An... interesting adaptation of Dahl's classic
Danny DeVito is an A-lister comedian of our age, so as a kid, I was surprised to know that he would play one of antagonists while narrating and helming this picture of the beloved children's novel. My siblings and I have fond childhood memories associated with this movie, and we still quote it to this day. Funny, heartfelt, adventurous, this film is one that everyone in the family can enjoy.

Nostalgic
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. I guess she’d been feeling nostalgic as she had asked me if we had it several times in the months prior. It works great and she is happy to have it.
