Excellent Film, Definitive Release!!
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis Collector's Edition is a must have for fans of the film, as well as new fans drawn into Stephen King's works from the Castle Rock Television Series. This Blu-ray release was produced from a new 4K Remastered Scan of the film. This is the best looking version of Misery your money can buy.

A generous swine
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWhat can be said about a novelist who can’t decide how to finish his story. A monstrous snowstorm sets in motion the motivations necessary to aid his progress. A lovely nurse recovers him from his crashed car and brings him back to full health. His journey to finish his story with the help of this nurse can teach us all that it is not a good idea to take what we love for granted and to understand that our desires are not always the best choice for what is needed for the right ending. One lesson that can be taken from this movie is that the right swine at the right time can help us get over the final hurdle in search of our objective.

Better Than Expected
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI knew and heard a lot about this movie but never gave it a chance because it wasn't a straight out Stephen King "horror" story. Forget that - Misery was completely unnerving and unsettling as a 'horror' can get.

Weird Classic
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is essential viewing. It's a testament to the adage, "Less is more." Many horror movies suffer nowadays from being overstuffed with gore and scenes designed for shock (admittedly this movie has at least one truly horrifying scene involving violence). This is what horror is really all about. Two characters played by two amazing actors in a claustrophobic setting with an excellent premise. That's really all you need, and the rest plays out naturally. It's a tense and well constructed ride.
