If it is manufacturers defect, then it’s taken care of by your warranty. In your case, dropping it isn’t covered by manufacturers. So your geek squad protection plan covers it. If it gets replaced due to the physical damage not being repairable. Your plan is fulfilled. Because it did what it’s meant to do, it got you a replacement. You’d have to purchase a new protection plan on the replacement computer.
