I bought my son a ipad mini about 5 years ago. So it was the first version of the ipad mini and it's not compatible with all apple apps. I bought my son a jimu robot for Christmas and the ipad mini wouldn't let me down load the app. So I had to up grade his ipad up to the ipad mini 2. Which I purchased used form bestbuy, now everything is fine. Using ISO 12.11 on the ipad mini 2.
