• You can use the Google variant of Google Docs/Sheets/Slides. From there you can save it in office format. If you want to use office you will have to use the online Office 365 or if they bring Google Play to this chromebook download your office apps from the play store. Again that is an if, google docs works perfect in the meantime which is why so many schools are using them.

• Chromebook has Word specific software that uses Chrome OS, not Windows.
