• No, it starts from the date pf purchase, not after manufacturer warranty ends. This is a Best Buy Geek Squad warranty, and has nothing to do with the manufacturer, but it is a really good warranty, when I purchased my laptop from Best Buy I purchased the Greek Squad warranty with it instantly.
